It still seems really masculine to me. I think it would be great on a boy, but on a girl it just feels like "look! We used a male name on our daughter!" And that's just a tired trend.
I have dd's named Jaiden, Everleigh and Emersen and if we have a son he will be named Carter Andrew Dean (all my girls have 2 mns named after family) so if we have a son he will be named after 2 living men in my life.
I have to admit, I have seen the occasional female Carter. (But I know a little pink Randall, too...everything gets it at least once.) It's a very handsome name and I like it on a boy.

Very true.
I know for me I didnt use a 'look at me I used a male name for my dd' I chose names that I loved......simple as that.

Thank you everyone for all of your suggestions.
Please tell me your thoughts on the list we have.
And everyone has their likes and dislikes...ours just happen to clash.
Out of curiosity, what would you name a boy? It's always interesting to see how parents handle that, since it can get a bit sticky.

My little girl's name is Piper Eloise (though not spelled like that).
