I have a friend called Estrella it's a Spanish name and it's the Spanish word for star. The 'll' is pronounced as a 'y'. Her sister is called Iris which is the Spanish word for rainbow. I also have another friend thats called Lucia she's from Uruguay I've looked it up and it says the meaning is 'Bringer of light'. WDYT?
Also on the baby name finder page you can put in the meaning and it'll show you all the names with that meaning. Good luck!!!

I love Danica for a girl (Slavic for morning star) and Stellan for a boy (bright star).
You might also consider-
Eleanor, Helene, Helen, Helena, Eleni, Elaine, Elaina, etc. which mean light.
Clare, Clarence which mean clear or brilliant.
There are many, many others but I'm stuck on Danica and Stellan!
Best wishes, Ginger

Sorry to
I was surprised by a few of these as well (thus the disclaimer, since I didn't have time to look each one up individually earlier, but I did now LOL), especially Margaret! But since you asked, I'll include what I found. ;)
The "child of light" meaning given for Margaret is Persian (the Scottish name does, in fact, mean pearl, as I'm sure most of us already know). It still relates to pearls, though, so I have to wonder. Basically, in Persian mythology, oysters would rise to the water's surface at night to worship the moon and catch a single drop of congealed dew in their shells, which the moonbeam would then transform into a pearl, or child of light. I found this meaning more than a few times, and this was the most concise explanation given.
Asta was simply another variant of Astra, meaning star (although I don't doubt it can also be a shortened form of Astrid ... makes perfect sense).
Svetlana was all me -- I put it in the wrong row somehow! Blame mommy-brain! LOL
Aileen is often used as an Irish form of Helen or can carry the Scottish meaning "light bearer/bringer of light" all on its own. The "bird" meaning would entail tracing it from Eileen to Avis through at least half a dozen related names, but most Celtic name books attribute this one to Helen. Actually, all those listed as derivations of Helen basically mean light (it actually seems harder to find the more descriptive torch, etc. meaning, but it all boils down to a form of light anyway). Eleanor is usually grouped with these as yet another name stemming from Helen, and/or simply listed as being of Greek origin and meaning light (I've honestly never even seen the explanation offered by Behind the Name on this one ... interesting). Nora sometimes carries the additional meaning of Honor, as it can also stem from Honora, Annora, etc.
Kenzie can mean light skinned (which could be interpreted by some as meaning handsome, as this is a common meaning), so I think that particular site may have been a bit off on this one, conveniently forgetting the "skinned" part. LOL
Leora can be a derivation of Eleanor, carrying the same meaning, and is also a Hebrew name meaning "light/my shining light" (also spelled Liora, as you mentioned). I actually couldn't find the "lion" meaning anywhere, although it was listed for other Leo- names.
Ora is a variant of Aurelia, meaning "golden/golden light," and is also a Hebrew name meaning simply "light." Depending on the language of derivation, this one has many meanings, including to pray, as you mentioned, as well as seacoast and even money. ;)
So take Kenzie off and move Svetlana down (all my fault there!) and the rest still stand. ;) Funny how one name can often have so many meanings depending on the derivation/language, etc. That's what makes them so interesting! ;) Hope that clears things up!
