Even though I live in Canada, I am more concerned that my children's names are easy to pronounce in English and Spanish than English and any other language. Why? It's the language they're most likely to run into in N America, and I'd like people to not struggle with their names! So: I have Max (which EVERYONE in EVERY LANGUAGE can say easily!) and Solomon. For our third, we're leaning heavily toward Clara. I don't know if that helps!
Siggy by the AMAZING Alicia at Momsquawk.com! Thanks!
We had a similar debate at our house when I was pregnant - I'm 100% English-speaking American, and my husband and his entire family are from Argentina.
We ended up naming our son Sebastian ... after DH's great-uncle in Argentina, but the name also works well in English.
But other names we considered included - which are ALL family names, most from DH's family: - Thomas - Mariana - Anna - Sara - Felicia
