I have been reading this message board for months looking for ideas! I am due to have a boy in approx. 6 weeks and I can't decide on a name. This is causing so much stress. I had a girl's name all picked out before the gender was determined (Nadia Grace) but was undecided for a boy. I finally settled on Jayden Dwayne. BUT just 2 weeks ago my friend had a boy and named him Jayden! So I am starting all over. The 2 names I have so far are:

Jaxon Dwayne Cleghorn

Kyle Dwayne Cleghorn

What do you think? Any other ideas? I have one daughter already and her name is Shelby. I want a name that's not overused but not to different. Middle name can't be changed (it is after my dh).

I love the name Jaxon. It is one of my favorites. I might spell it the normal Way (Jackson), but either way it's cute! I don't prefer Kyle though!!

I like the name Jaxon too (either spelling). I'd go with that!

I like Jaxon! It sounds nice with Cleghorn. Kyle is good too - actually, I like them both better than Jayden. I am sure the resourceful minds on this board will have more ideas for you, too.

One more thing - sometimes, it can relieve your stress just to wait until the baby is born to name him. Something about his face or voice might bring just the right name to your mind.

By the way, if you like "N" names - I have a Nathaniel. Or what about Nile?

All the best of luck!

Steel Magnolias is my favorite movie.Julia Roberts is Shelby(I love that name) and her husband was Jackson.

I love Kyle.If you use Jackson I would use the normal spelling instead of the Jaxon one.Jaxon makes me think of a jester.

My name is Jennifer but since it was so popular my parents spelled it Gennifer. What a pain in the butt it is to have a name spelled a goofy way.

I stronly prefer Kyle - I just can't look at the name Jaxon without thinking of Ajax (but it's probably just me) - I like Jackson better. I think Kyle Cleghorn is absolutely adorable thought but then I love alliterative names. BTW, Shelby and Nadia are both gorgeous!

Best wishes,

Julia
