Need a Baseball Name

My fiance wants a good baseball name for a boy. Last name O'Brien. I like Chase O'Brien. He also kind of likes J.T. O'Brien.

Can't believe I am even humoring a name that would sound good for baseball, but ladies let me have some of creative input here. He'll as likely be a nerdy as he will be an athlete, but I'll listen to suggestions.

Thanks!! Lynn

I went to school with a Ty who was named after Ty Cobb. I think his full name was Tyrus.

I hope your boy ends up liking baseball!

Does your finance have a favorite baseball player? You might consider naming your son after someone like that. Otherwise when I think of baseball players, I think of names that are pretty basic and straightforward such as:

Matt
Mike
Joe
Cooper
Derek

JT definitely sounds like a baseball name, so cute!

O'Brien is a great last name to go with almost anything. You could stick with the Irish theme...lots of cute options.

Patrick
Kieran
Cian (kee-yan)
Declan
Emmett
Finn
Pierce
Quinn
Reilly
Tiernan
Seamus/Shamus

Oh ladies, these are great. Hmmm, maybe we ned to limit it to the Phillies??

He he he. I love thinking of names for boys. Too bad I am 36 and dated enough losers to knock nearly half these names off the list! Oh well. I won't be naming my baby girl after any of his ex-girlfriend either (but he had a lot fewer than me te-he!).

Keep it up and thanks for posting.
