Need a Baseball Name

My fiance wants a good baseball name for a boy. Last name O'Brien. I like Chase O'Brien. He also kind of likes J.T. O'Brien.

Can't believe I am even humoring a name that would sound good for baseball, but ladies let me have some of creative input here. He'll as likely be a nerdy as he will be an athlete, but I'll listen to suggestions.

Thanks!! Lynn

I love your last name. It is very fitting for a baseball player. How about some Irish names?

Nolan (Like Nolan Ryan)
Ryan
Quinn
Finn
Colin
Liam
Seamus
Tad
Ian

I also think Chase, Caleb, Cole, Nick, Justin, James, Steven, Jason, Davis/David, and Grant are all cool for baseball players. But with your last name I think any name could be a ball player name because your last name is very baseball'ish to me.

Is this my sister? Just kidding! She's named both of her boys for baseball players and is planning on doing so with the third too.

She has-

Henry (Hank for short) - Hank Aaron
Ty - Ty Cobb
Teddy - Ted Williams (she's considering this one for this time around)

They like to use classic baseball players' names. Maybe that's a thought for you. Look in some baseball records books for ideas. DH might like the idea of using a real ball player's name.

(I know someone else mentioned nn Ty for Tyrus. My nephew's name is just Ty because they didn't like Tyler or anything like that, but I call him Tyrus! That's kind of funny.)

I have always thought that the name Brooks sounded like a baseball player!

Brooks O'Brien

It just reminds me of old vintage baseball player names! HTH!

We named our son Weston for a few reasons, the main one being (blushing) we thought it would sound KILLER on a baseball player. I think Weston works for all kinds of professions. I can see it on a businessman, a surfer, or a rancher, too.

You could always go with Easton, though, which is a big baseball company.
