Need girl's name opinion

Next week I find out if I am having a boy or girl so i wanted to get some opinions on the girl name that i like. I already have a 2 1/2 year old little girl named Jadyn Alexis and if this one is a girl i was thinking of the name Aeryn Kynedi (pronounced Erin Kennedy). My mom doesn't mind the name but hates the spelling and my boyfriend doesn't even want to talk about names until we know the sex, so i need some outside opinions. WDYT about the name and it's spelling.

The name isn't bad I have to say in the nicest possible way I hate the spelling. I am saying this to for warn you and not to be mean but that when most people see a name spelled that way they think that the parents were probably ignorant.
Sorry

that new kennedy spelling would not be pronounced kennedy by me- i read it as saying KIE-nAd-ia or something instead.
i truly prefer the spellings that aren't too new though- that's just my preference, i guess.
i love aerin though. pretty with kennedy.

Erin is nice, but I'm with your mom ... Aeryn isn't just a poorly-spelled version. It's not even close to the actual name (and to be quite honest, it's about 100% LESS attractive). Kind of looks like the name of a factory or brand of shoe.

And I can't even touch "Kynedi!" That CANNOT be prounounced Kennedy. It looks like kin-eh-die, and at the very closest might be said kin-e-dee, but not ken-e-dee. Contrary to popular belief, the letter Y actually makes a sound. It can't be randomly substituted for any old vowel and expected to be a recognizable misspelling.

Also, do you really want future colleges, employers, etc. bypassing your child because she obviously can't even spell her own name? Because that's how something like that comes across. It doesn't make it look "prettier" ... just ignorant. Sorry to be so honest, but since you asked.

In short, if you like Erin Kennedy, which is a perfectly fine name, name her ERIN KENNEDY! There's absolutely no appeal to butchering the name to the point that it's utterly unattractive and completely unrecognizable.

Erin Kennedy is very pretty, and Eryn Kennedy would work, too. Please forgive me if this sounds harsh, but Aeryn Kynedi looks silly to me, and it also looks like a series of spelling errors, rather than a creative spelling. Also, Kynedi can't be pronounced Kennedy - it would be Kinnedy or Kinnaydi, with the spelling you're considering. If you love the Aeryn spelling so much that you can't imagine not using it, I guess people will figure it out (though be prepared for people to call her "AIR-in" and "AY-er-in" a lot, on the assumption that you chose the Ae for some reason that affects pronunciation, instead of just for show), but Kynedi just doesn't work on any level.

Aeryn Kynedi just looks AWFUL! Really horrible, I strongly suggest not using it for your daughter's sake! Erin Kennedy is a million times nicer.

A girl I went to HS with spelled her name Erynn. I like either spelling. Aeryn, Eryn or Erynn. I love Kennedy with Aeryn. What about...
Aeryn Kennedy
Eryn Kennedy
Erynn Kennedy

Aeryn Kennedie
Eryn Kennedie
Erynn Kennedie

Aeryn Kennedi
Eryn Kennedi
Erynn Kennedi

or even Erinn, Aeren, Aeran, Airyn. Not sure if any of these are your style, nms personally. Not even sure if the above spellings are how you would pronounce them:)ha.

Congrats on expecting! Good Luck naming the bundle of joy:) HTH.

sorry, but I'm TOTALLY with your mom on the spelling

the name itself is OK - Erin Kennedy - although to me, Erin is slightly dated to the 70s/80s when most of the ones I know were born

The name is pretty but I'd go with a more traditional spelling for two reasons:

1. It is going to be mispronounced daily

2. She'll have to spell it all of the time
