My DH and I are considering the name Max. Our last name is McConathy and we think Max McConathy has a nice ring to it. What do you think? Secondly, if we choose Max, we kind of would like to have the long version as his legal name, but Maximillion and Maximus, which mean "the greatest" seam a little much for me...any thoughts? My Husband thinks they are good strong names. Thirdly, we like the the name Samuel because it is a family name but not sure how to incorporate it?
Let me know what you think about these options(keep in mind he would go by "Max":

Maximillion Samuel McConathy
Samuel Maximillion McConathy
Maximus Samuel McConathy
Samuel Maximus McConathy
Max Samuel McConathy
Samuel Max McConathy

Honest opinions are greatly appreciated

Thanks!

I agree with the previous poster about using Maxwell as a possibility. Oddly enough, I find that I sort of like Maximus, reminds me of the movie "Gladiator". Your DH is right it does sound very strong & manly. I really don't like Maximillion. I also like the idea of the more traditional Samuel as a fn. Maybe Samuel Maxwell? Depends on how you feel about the L sounds at the end of the fn & mn. Personally it wouldn't bother me, it's not all that often that you use the fn & mn together. Anyway there's my 2 cents and then some. Good luck!!
