Need help with B/G Twin names

We're expecting B/G twins in April (Yeah). We've settled on a boy name: Kyle Thomas. We also have a Zachary Craig, Meghan Loraine and Jacob Scott. We can't seem to settle on a girl name. I would like her middle name to be "Lynn" or some inclusion of "lynn" in the name (after my mom).

We're drawing a total blank. I would like something that sounds complimentary to the other kids. Nothing too off the wall exotic, but yet, not so popular it is everywhere (when I named my kids their names, the "buzz" hadn't hit yet (e.g., Zachary was born in 1991, the name went crazy the next year).

Any ideas? I wasn't going to put options on here, because I didn't want to stiffle anyone. But, what about the following:

Aubrey
Chloe
Alexa
Kiera
Lauren
Emily
Jady

Does the girl name have to start with the same initial as the boy? I'm hearing different "rules" I hadn't considered before.

Thanks!

No, twin names definitely DO NOT have to rhyme and IMHO should not! I would definitely avoid another 'K' name. Each twin deserves their own special name/initial, especially since all your other kids' names each begin with a different letter. Matching outfits for twins-maybe-but matching names is taking it too far!

My fave from your list is Lauren. I think it complements your other kids' names, and since Lauren is a classic type of name that has been used consistently, it probably will never be the crazy trend name any time soon. Emily is also very nice, but very popular.

I will try to think of some more that I think go well with your other names and post again.

Good luck with the rest of your pregnancy!

I think Kyle Thomas is great for a boys name.

First of all, I have to say that Kyle goes really well with Zachary, Meghan, and Jacob. As for a girl's name, I would AVOID matching initials. I find it to be really cheesy. They are twins, yes, but they are different people and can have different names.

Aubrey- My favourite from the list, but I would go with something a bit more feminine. Doesn't fit perfectly.
Chloe- too cutesy
Alexa- Too popular. Alex- names (Alexandra, Alexandria, Alexander, Alexia, Alexis, etc.) are pretty popular right now. It has a really trendy feel to it
Kiera- This is too similar to Kyle, and you have to be warned that names such as Keira, Kyra, Kayla, Kyla, Kaylee, Kylee, etc. are similar and really popular, and also you may have a pronunciation issue- "kee-air-uh" or "keer-uh"?
Lauren- seems outdated
Emily- way too popular, was #1 for 10 years I believe up until this year
Jady- Is this a typo? Jade is okay, although doesn't seem to fit well. Jady is nmsaa

Here are some ideas:

Anna

Natalie

Erica

Rachel

Sydney

Paige

Lindsay

Jocelyn

Clara

Brenna

Tabitha

Chelsea

Hannah

Carly

Leah

My favourites are:
#1) Zachary, Megan, Jacob, Kyle & Rachel Jocelyn/Ashlyn/Evelyn(since Rachel ends in an "l" and Lynn begins with one, I would use a different Lynn name.
#1) Zachary, Megan, Jacob, Kyle & Erica Lynn
#1) Zachary, Megan, Jacob, Kyle & Hannah Lynn

HTH, let me know your thoughts and I will suggest more.

From your list, I love Lauren. I think it goes great with the sib names. I also like Aubrey.

I would say don't have the twins' names start with the same letter. That's a bit too cutesie.

Other ideas:

Blaire
Bree
Briana
Bridget
Kathleen
Darcy
Erin
Shannon

OMG, Jady! I just posted about looking at the name Jadily aka Jady. :)

But I do Like say, Chloe Lynn, very much. Jadilynn? Lol.

I would stay away from Meghan Loraine for a boy though, as it sounds very feminine, but just my opinion.

Don't know any twin rules, sorry.

I like Alexa Lynn too. But really like Chloe

as far as 'rules' go, I don't think the names have to match or start with the same letter, unless you want them to!

From your list I like Lauren and Alexa but I'm not too fond of Lauren Lyn

other suggestions:

Amy
Laura (I think this works better with Lyn then Lauren)
Kelly
Chelsea
Erica
Mallory
Jana
Kirsten
Maya
Carissa

Congratulations on the twins! While my name is Lauren, and I have always been happy with it, I have to say it's gotten to be pretty common. I think Aubrey Lynn would be very pretty, and would sound good with the other children's names. As far as a name that's not on your list, I like:

Sabrina Lynn
Charlotte Lynn
Zoe Lynn
Sidney Lynn

OR
Amelia Caitlyn
Alexa Caitlyn
Emily Caitlyn
Eve Caitlyn
