This is my first pregnancy and I never thought it would be this hard to pick a name. I am having a boy!! jan 25 07! I have a list of names I like but I just want it to be a strong name not something that is popular now but in 20 years everyone will laugh at.
I had the name "Collin Matthew White" picked out for a long time but now it just doesnt sound right.
I really like the name Matthew for first or middle name. Maybe you can give me some suggestions. Here are the names I picked:

MATTHEW
AIDEN
CAMERON
CARSON
CHRISTIAN
COLLIN
DYLAN
MASON
NATHAN
OWEN
RYLAN
SHANE
ZACHARY
GAVIN
ERIK
LOGAN
CHASE

I like many of your choices. For what it's worth, here are my opinions:

CAMERON
CARSON
Both are nice names - unfortunately they're a bit trendy right now. However, I like them.

AIDEN
Noooo! Too many out there already! This name has exploded and already sounds dated.

COLLIN
DYLAN
I like both of these, especially Collin. It's a great classic name.

NATHAN
OWEN
MATTHEW
Love all of these. They're classic names that sound right today and will still sound good in twenty years.

RYLAN
Don't like this name at all. Way too trendy.

SHANE
ZACHARY
GAVIN
These three are good, too. Zachary is my favorite, followed by Gavin.
These two are, in my opinion, perhaps the loveliest on the list.

ERIK
No strong feelings either way . . .

LOGAN
A name that I also think of as trendy, already being adopted for little girls, unfortunately.

CHASE
It's a decent name, a name I believe stems from Charles.
Not my favorite, but still a strong choice.

Good luck. You've compiled quite a decent list. Lucky son!

I like Collin Matthew a lot! I also like Eric Matthew (prefer this spelling, but that's just a personal thing). Some of the othert names are too trendy (given what you wrote). Good luck!

I love the name Collin! Although I am biased because that is my son's name. He is 6 years old now and the name fits him well. We too spelled it with 2 l's because of the whole Colin Powell thing. He is the only Collin in his classes and in his sports. It is a well known name, but not used as much as Dylan and Aidan and some of the others.
