I found it a bit odd that 4 of your 7 choices began with the letter B. Was that intentional? Personally, since Bodunde is such a strong and heavy last name, I would avoid a name beginning with or having any prominant B's (or D's for that matter as it is very "d" heavy). The alliterative flow jsut isn't that great.

Girl
Brittany Bodunde- Like I said, I would avoid a B name. Also, Brittany is reeeeally oudated. I can't think of the right word to describe it without sounding rude, so let's go with... unprofessional? juvenile? (skanky- think Brittany Spears!)
Brianna Bodunde- Brianna is okay, but I'd avoid a B name.
Vanessa Bodunde- LOVE this, gorgeous and uncommon. Lovely
Abigail Bodunde- Waaay too popular

Boy
Nicholas Bodunde- Nicholas is nice. Common, but nice. The nn Nico is absolutely adorable
Brandon Bodunde- This flow is just horrible. The repetition of the B AND the D is way too much. Not to mention I find the name boring
Brendan Bodunde- see Brandon, same deal

I LOVE Vanessa, and like Nicholas. The others just don't work with Bodunde at all. Here are some ideas:

Matilda Bodunde

Eleanor Bodunde

Norah Bodunde

Camille Bodunde

Annelise Bodunde

Erica Bodunde

Natalie Bodunde

Alison Bodunde

Greta Bodunde

Felicity Bodunde

Eric Bodunde

Oliver Bodunde

Elliott Bodunde

Kyle Bodunde

Micah Bodunde

Ashton Bodunde

Everett Bodunde

Holden Bodunde

Jonah Bodunde

Nolan Bodunde

HTH, let me know your thoughts, and sorry if I sounded negative on your choices, it's just that your last name is pretty difficult to pair up with a fn so you gotta be careful!

I have to agree with the previous poster that since your last name is so B/D heavy, I'd avoid a B first name. Brandon/Brendan Bodunde are particularly hard to say, IMO.

Of your choices, I really like Vanessa and Nicholas.

Some other ideas that might be your style...

GIRLS:
Courtney
Ashley
Kaitlyn
Alyssa
Savannah
Veronica
Emily
Emma
Anna
Lauren

BOYS:
Jordan
Adam
Jared
Nolan
Jacob/Jake
Lucas/Luke
Alexander/Alex
Maxwell/Max
Ryan
Grant
Gavin

Good luck finding the right choice for your new baby!

I agree with Nikki. I think with the last name Bodunde it would be a good idea to avoid first names starting with B.

From your girl's list, I love Vanessa--it's very pretty, and I think its soft v and s sounds balance out your harsher sounding last name. Abigail would be my second choice. Have you looked at Olivia, Susanna, Madeline, or Jessa? They have a similar feel to some of your favorites, but I think they sound better with Bodunde.

Nicholas is far and away my favorite from your boy's list. Brendan Bodunde and Brandon Bodunde are both so heavy on the Bs and Ds, it's overwhelming and a little cartoonish. In addition to Nicholas, I also like Ian, Noah, Matthew, and Samuel with Bodunde.

Tiffany is *really* outdated... very 80's, so I'd avoid it. You know how, when you hear certain names, you can get a general idea of when they were born? Tiffany is one of those names, and since it was so popular several decades ago, it is outdated right now and not yet ready for a comeback. If you love it though, I'd use it in the mn position. But better yet, are there any family names you could use as a mn- ie. your wife's maiden name, the grandmother's name, your wife's mn, etc. Family names work really well as mn's and add meaning and significance!

I have to agree with the others. With a ln so heavy on the Bs and Ds, I'd avoid a fn that was equally so. That would eliminate Brittany, Brianna, Brandon, Brendan and possibly even Abigail for me.

Depending on the exact pronunciation of your ln (is the "e" silent?"), something like:

Camille
Giselle
Genevieve
Gwyneth
Alice
Eloise
*basically something more classic and feminine. It really seems to soften up your ln a bit. ;)

Evan
Egan
Ewan
Nolan
Ian
Elliott
Finnian
Henry
Oliver
Simon
*something in the style you want but without the problematic B or D sounds

ok, I am going to be in minority, this is most likely because I am a B.B. name, but I like alliteration. I think the key is finding the right name:

Brooke Elise Bodunde
Brooke Justine Bodunde
Brooke Estelle Bondunde

or

Rebecca Elise Bondunde, nn Becca/Bex
Rebecca Simone Bondunde
Rebecca Jane Bondunde

or

Bella Jane Bondunde
Bella Pearl Bondunde
Bella Rose Bondunde

or

Brynn Roseline Bondunde
Brynn Caroline Bondunde
Brynn Abigail Bondunde

Mn for Vanessa:
Joy
Fleur
Greer
Pearl
Jane
Wren
Wynne
Grace

I think that Nicholas is a great name. Here are some possible mn:
James
Andrew
Barrett
Baylor
Beckett
Bennett
Carson
Carter
Calvin
Finn
Edward

good luck,
Brooke

I'm personally am not a fan of when the first and last names start with the same letter, but that's just a personal preference with me

Brittany Bodunde or Brianna Bodunde sound OK despite the alliteration

however, Brandon Bodunde and Brendan Bondunde do not - in addition to the Bs - there is the D sound in the middle of both the first and middle names - it's far too repetitive

Nicholas Bodunde sounds fine together

I don't like the B in the middle of Abigail going into the Bodunde - too close together - and especially if she ends up being called Abby a lot - Abby Bondunde has multiple problems - the Bs and that both end in the long E sound

to be honest I'm not crazy with Vanessa with Bodunde for some reason

I think you need some two-syllable choices there - avoiding Bs, Ds and the long E sounds at the end. I know it's hard, but.....

here are some possible girls options

Cara Bodunde
Erin Bodunde
Elise Bodunde
Gina Bodunde
Gisele Bodunde
Janna Bodunde
Kara Bodunde
Maura Bodunde
Megan Bodunde
Maya Bodunde
Noelle Bodunde
Rayna Bodunde
Reegan Bodunde
Taylor Bodunde
Teegan Bodunde
Tara Bodunde

here a couple 3-syllable ones that for some reason to me seemed to flow better than the 3-syllable ones that you had

Jocelyn Bodunde
Jillian Bodunde

I think it has to do with n-ending sound there

good luck

hello!! well, i would steer clear of the double b's-i really like vanessa from your list-its one of my favorite names. i honestly like it paired up with abigail. vanessa abigail bodunde. and from the boys, i like nicholas...but i like it paired with brandon as the middle name-then the b's arent quite as obvious...nicholas brandon bodunde. i personally love the flow of both names-and theyre good solid names-theyre not trendy, theyre not too out there-yet they are unique enough...jmo. take care!
