I need help choosing a girls name! I love the name Hannah, but unfortunatley I think it sounds funny with last name (Haysom)

I love simple, traditional, classy names that arn't too popular at the moment.

These are the names I like at the moment.

Darla

Lilah

Georgia

Myra - (Grandmothers middle name)

Pearl

Audrey

Lily

Isabella - (very popular!)

I would like to maybe use these names as first and middle names.
Any comments and suggestions would be much appreciated, I need to narrow it down!!

Thanks heaps :) - Katherine

I like Audrey Pearl (my middle name is Audry and my aunt's name is Pearl). I also like Myra Pearl.

Darla is the awful little girl on finding Nemo so i don't think i could get past that.

Lilah is pretty but it reminds me of the lady on the radio Delilah.

Georgia is pretty also but not my personal favorite.

and Lily (although I do love it) is also super popular right now.

Darla - I like this one ... my sister's name is Dara, and people often mistake it for Darla or Daria ;)

Lilah - Love this! Prefer it spelled Lila though (the h just looks tacked on, KWIM?)

Georgia - not my favorite from your list

Myra - (Grandmothers middle name) - like this as well, especially with the grandmother connection :)

Pearl - like this as a possible mn with one of the others ... Darla Pearl, Lila Pearl, Myra Pearl, etc. ;)

Audrey - nice, but I prefer Audra for some reason

Lily - very popular, but again, nice

Isabella - (very popular!) - like you said ... it's really popular! I don't like it as much as the others though, especially with your ln (no idea why, I just like the more "old-fashioned" sounding names you have better)

Some other names you might like: Anna, Lena, Layla (many spellings), Mira, Myla/Mila, Audra, Ardra, Lilian, Lilith, Lilias, Imogen

HTH! You have some GREAT choices on there! :)

Hi Katherine -

From your picks:

Darla - might work :-) - Darla Nicole Haysom, Darla Celine Haysom, Darla Celeste Haysom, Darla Breann Haysom, Darla Felicity Haysom

Lilah - like the name, not sure on the spelling. (it will be hard to find any personalized items with this spelling - I'd use - Lila or Leila, just to avoid child's frustration & spelling corrections)

There are some great names here. I love Audrey and Lilah a lot. Isabella is also beautiful, but like you said, popular. In order to make it a bit more unique you could go with Isabella but use the nn Bella, which is so cute and spunky and makes it different.

FAVE COMBOS:
#1) Audrey Myra
#2) Lilah Pearl
#3) Isabella Lily

I'm not much into the style of names here, but if I had to choose I'd go with Darla Isabelle as a combo (you'd have to drop the ending a of Isabella to make it sound right)

but, IF you like Hannah so much but don't like the HH combination - I have two suggestions for you Dannah (I know 2 spelled like this) - I think that sounds awesome together, Dannah Haysome. - or Janna (with or without the H), I think I like that one without the H - Janna Haysome. I like Dannah with the H.

good luck

Darla - different, rarely heard

Lilah - too old sounding

Georgia - this name fizzled out in the 60s I thought

Myra - (Grandmothers middle name) - too old, Kyra as an alternative?

Pearl - way outdated

Audrey - OK, I like Aubrey much much better, fresher

Lily - just never cared for it, seems dated to me too

Isabella - (very popular!) - wwway too popular

Hannah Haysom sounds so normal and natural to me that I don't really even want to comment on the rest of the names. If you like Hannah, go with it. It looks like a perfectly nice combination to me.

I like Lilah (the nickname for Delilah, incidentally, not the Indian name Lila or the Arabic name Leila) as much as I like Hannah.

Darla is too sweet. I know I'd hate it if my name were just a transformation of "darling." That's a name that can't ever grow up.

Georgia is wonderful. WONDERFUL. Don't let people tell you that it's too old-fashioned. Those people just don't get it ;)

Myra, Pearl, Audrey and Lily are each perfectly nice. I just don't like them with Haysom as much as I like Hannah, Lilah and Georgia.
