I am having a girl and I want to name her Makayla, but I can't think of a middle name that will go with it. Any suggestions?

barring knowing any family names that could play in here are my suggestions

Makayla Brynn
Makayla Brianne
Makayla Brielle
Makayla Danielle
Makayla Dawn
Makayla Gisele
Makayla Joelle
Makayla Janelle
Makayla Javonne
Makayla Nicole
Makayla Noelle
Makayla Suzanne

I avoided: any that started with M for the obvious reason
any that started with K or hard C sound because that sound in the middle of Makayla is way too dominant
any that started with L because it doesn't sound good coming off the la ending
any that started with any vowel because of it ending with a vowel

good luck

Makayla is a beautiful name. It (along with other similar names) is very popular, so there will probably be at least one other Makayla, Kayla, Kaylee, etc. in her class. Just wanted to let you know in case you weren't aware and popularity is a concern for you.

About 5-10 years ago, I loved the name Michaela Rose, but my husband vetoed Michaela before it ever went under consideration. I do think Makayla Rose has a very pretty sound.

Some other ideas...
Makayla Dawn
Makayla Joelle
Makayla Rochelle
Makayla Janae
Makayla Simone
Makayla Celeste
Makayla Joy
Makayla Danielle
Makayla Chantelle

Hope that helps a bit!

I would pick something with an emphasis on the second syllable or a one syllable name.

Makayla Renee
Makayla Denise
Makayla Danielle
Makayla Brooke
Makayla Jane
Makayla Paige
Makayla Shae

You must be warned before using Makayla that it is now outdated. A few years ago, Makayla and its variants (Mckayla, Michaela, Mckenzie, etc.) boomed and they seems to be everywhere. It was enough to make many people tired of the name. Now, they are on their way out, so by the time your daughter is 5 her name will be outdated / old news. (Think Lynn, Brian, Stephanie, etc. of the 80's)

That said, if you still want to use it, here are some mn ideas:

Makayla Sage

Makayla Bronwen

Makayla Chantel

Makayla Charlotte

Makayla Therese

Makayla Jude

Makayla Naomi

Makayla Elaine

Makayla Taryn

Makayla Rhiannon

I would avoid a mn beginning with or ending in "A" because the flow with Makayla wouldn't be that great. Also, avoid anything with a too obvious hard k or l sound, as it is very prominent in Makayla.

Have you considered the Michaela spelling? It looks more tailored to me.

My children are grown now. I thought that I would mention that when I was pregnant with my first, someone suggested that I should go with my maiden name for the child's middle name. I really wish that I had done that. Tricia

If you like Makayla, go with it! Don't listen to the critics who say it is outdated. Makayla Jo is my pick.
