I agree.... Julian is an awsome name.
Carmine sounds too feminine.

Julian and Adrian are two or my favorite boy names of all-time.

Congratulations.
LOL - people who have never heard of the name Carmine- OK so I'm showing my age, but really, Carmine Ragusa- The Big Ragu- from Laverne and Shirley means nothing to you? Boy, I'm feeling old right now.
Actually Carmine is the most masculine of all your choices imo. Carmine is a strong, dark Italian man in my mind and always will be.
Adrian while a very nice name,
and Adrian Zmed (sp?) was hot (again showing my age-lol),
it is too close to Adrienne for me and with the new Rocky movie coming out Yo! Adrian will be back, trust me. Of course maybe that is a bonus in your mind.
My husband felt that way about the name Luke- "Luke I am your father" never gets old in his mind though the rest of us disagree.
Julian brings to mind Julian Lennon, again not a bad connection but hardly macho.

Other possibilities that seem to suit your style (and that you have probably ruled out already lol)
Dominic
Aidan
Carlos
Antonio
Marco/ Marcos

Again good luck and best wishes.

My first thought when I saw Carmine was Laverne and Shirley as well (and I'm 27 ... that's not old yet is it? ). Not a bad association, but I was surprised how many people seemed confused by it. I think many are reading it as car-men.

Carmine means song, so I love that - very unique. I like your other choices as well - I don't think you can go wrong with any of those.
