Hello,
We are expecting a baby in early 2007. We do not know the gender and are having a really hard time picking a name.
Some ideas we have for a girl are:
Paige
Emery
Jorga or Georgia (I really don't like misspelled names but my husband loves Jorga with a J)
Sarah
Megan nn Maggie or Meg
Audrey

For a boy:
Kelson
Emerson
Grady or Grayson
Todd

We have a daugter named Anna. Thanks!

You've got a couple of my all-time favorite names on your list:

Anna's little sis or bro...

Paige - not my favorite name...it is ok, but not great
Emery - "Em" names are very popular right now - Emily, Emma, etc. That being said, I love Emery and I think Emmy is adorable on a little girl.
Jorga or Georgia - please go with Georgia! I would not give into husbands desire to have Georgia with is a J. Georgia is a wonderful name!
Sarah - I love Sarah with Anna. Have you considered the nn Sadie? Anna and Sadie sound like a sweet pair.
Megan nn Maggie or Meg - hmm...I typically like Margaret, nn Meg/Maggie, but with Anna I do think that Megan works better. This name is a solid choice.
Audrey - I should like this name, but for some reason it sounds dated to me.

I would suggest: Caroline, Elizabeth, Evelyn/Eveline nn Evie, Lucy, Margaret nn Maisie

For a boy:
Kelson - K names are very trendy right now and I have to put this name in that category
Emerson - I only know little girls named Emerson, so it is hard for me to picture it on a little boy
Grady or Grayson - I love Grayson, nn Gray. It sounds strong to me
Todd - sounds a little dated

Have you thought about: Bennett, Griffin, Weston, Harris, Max, or Spencer

I love Megan (no nn) or Audrey for a girl.

Grady or Todd for a boy. (Grayson just makes me think of the color gray - drab and cold).

AJ, enjoying life with C.

I like Paige because it's not overly popular and works well on a child and an adult. I like the sound of Emery, but it reminds me of an Emery board. Jorga reminds me of Jorge (horhay)so many people may pronounce it Hor-ha at first, particularly teachers like me teaching in areas with a large Latino population. Sarah and Megan almost seem tired because they have been used so often recently. I've never really liked Audrey. The name doesn't seem to command enough respect, unlike Anna. For a boy my favorites of your choices are Grady and Grayson. My son had a classmate named Grayson who was the most polite kindergartner we'd ever met.

Hi there. Congrats on #2!

I really like the name Anna. Here are my thoughts on your lists:

Paige-This is nms, but it's not bad. I don't think it's nearly as sweet & feminine as Anna.

Emery-Hm, basically same as above.

Jorga or Georgia (I really don't like misspelled names but my husband loves Jorga with a J)-Ah, defintly go w/the Georgia spelling. This is not my favourite, but it does fit w/Anna well spelled correctly.

Sarah-This is very nice w/your dds' names. I like it.

Megan nn Maggie or Meg-That's nms, but it works well for you.

Audrey-Aw, very nice.

Sarah & Audrey are for sure my favourites. I'd go w/Audrey though, in the interest of not picking a super popular name.

For a boy:

Kelson-I've never heard of this one. It's nms.

Emerson-I don't care for this much period, but you should be warned that it's used way too often on girls.

Grady or Grayson-I really like Gray in general. Grayson is nice, but Grady isn't bad.

Todd-Hm, that's one that you don't hear too often. It's not my favourite, but refreshing.

Grayson is my favourite here.

Hope this helps!

Paige -- this is just a word to me ... a book page, page the doctor, a knight's/lord's page, etc.

Emery -- I love Emery ... for a boy. I understand it begins with "Em-" and that parents are looking for any name Em- name out there as an alternative to the very-popular Emily, Emma, etc., but this isn't even unisex. Anna and Emery definitely sound like a sister and brother, so maybe you'd consider moving this to the boy list?

Jorga or Georgia -- technically, "Georgia with a J" is generally spelled Jorja, so although that form should be familiar enough to be recognized MOST of the time, Jorga honestly looks like Jor-ga (as in go) to me. Either way, I'm with you, however ... Georgia spelled correctly is much more appealing.

Sarah -- good sister name to Anna

Megan nn Maggie or Meg -- I like this even more, especially with Anna, and either nn would be very sweet ;)

Audrey -- love the name, although I personally wouldn't use another A name. Anna and Audrey do sound different enough not to sound overly matchy themselves, however, as long as you wouldn't feel somehow obligated to continue the trend with any future children. Many who like Audrey also like Catherine/Katharine (I prefer the C myself, but Katharine Hepburn was spelled this way). Just another suggestion that would work well with Anna.

For a boy:
Kelson -- nms

Emerson -- refreshing to hear on a boy, since it literally means "son of Emery," but I'd still prefer simply Emery (and since you have it above you obviously like it ... was it put in the girl section by mistake, I'm wondering?). You may also like Emmet

Grady or Grayson -- neither is really my style. Grady is considered very "backwoods" in my area, and Grayson is extremely trendy for both sexes.

Todd -- I have trouble seeing this as a given name (although I realize it generally isn't short for anything ... it just seems very cute and nn-ey to me)

I love Emerson for a boy. It's extremely masculine to me. Where I live there are more boy Emersons than girls. I have only heard it on two girls and one of them spelled it Emersyn. I really, really like this name (if only Dh did).

I also like Grayson. I think the nn Gray is very cute.

Paige- nice, but not with Anna. I would rate it average on your list
Emery- okay, but not with Anna. too trendy.
Jorga or Georgia- Jorga looks like it would be said jorg-uh (with a hard "g"). I too am not a fan of misspelled names and really don't like this one. Georgia, on the other hand, is a name that I love and like the way it sounds with Anna
Sarah- Beautiful, although a bit common
Megan nn Maggie or Meg- Like this a lot! Very pretty
Audrey- I would avoid another A name, but i do love the name

For a boy:
Kelson- Is this a family name? If it is, I think it is nice, but if not and it has no meaning for you, I don't particularly like it with Anna and I find it much trendier sounding
Emerson- Again, don't love it with Anna. It has been very popular on girls lately, but I love it for boys. Just not sure that it goes with the classic Anna.
Grady or Grayson- nms. Grayson seems so trendy and Grady just doesn't appeal in sound
Todd- Now this is a nice that I love. I hear it very rarely and it has the same soft strength (if that makes sense) that Anna does. PERFECT!

I love Todd for a boy, but I also like James (nn Jamie/Jem), Edison/Edwin, Micah, and Rhett with Anna. For a girl, none of the list seemed *perfect* although I do like Georgia and Megan a lot. I also like Charlotte, Sophie, Claire, Tessa with Anna.

HTH
