Need help with short middle names

Does anyone know a few short middle names? It is tradition in my hubby's family to have two middle names and we need a short one. We are having a girl and her first name will be 4 letters and 1st middle name will also be 4 letters in total.
Thanks,

Without knowing the names, it is difficult to make suggestions. What jumped out at me is that if her first two names are all total only eight letters, perhaps a longer, two syllable, second middle name would flow prettier.

Good luck,
Ginger

I love short names. Actually, my son's first name and both of his middle names each have four letters. So, let's see what I've got...

Dove
Fern
Lark
Dawn
Rose
Wren
Beth
Sian (it's pronounced Shane, but it is actually a traditionally female name, though I can't remember if it's Welsh or Irish...maybe someone can help me with that? I THINK it's Irish...)
Tess
Leah
Anne/Anna
Cora/Dora/Nora
Vera
Sela

There have been many listed, so I will just add that my favourites are Jane and Blythe.

Sian (it's pronounced Shane, but it is actually a traditionally female name, though I can't remember if it's Welsh or Irish...maybe someone can help me with that? I THINK it's Irish...)

It's Welsh, but it's said "shan," not "shayn" (basically like Ann with an "sh" beginning). ;)

To the OP:

I know plenty have already been mentioned, so I'll just say that some of my favorite shorter names are Pearl, Jane, Niamh, Opal, Rose/Rosa (bit of a filler at the moment), Lila(h), Nora(h), Nola, Fern, Flora, Gwen, Mary, Moira and Maura.

I agree with the previous comments, however ... it's awfully hard to suggest mns without knowing the actual names they would be paired with. Also, if both the fn and other mn are each four letters -- for a mere eight total -- it seems rather unlikely that another equally-short mn will offer the best flow. Again, hard to say without knowing the names, but something like Emma Rose Jane sounds much more abrupt than, say, Emma Rose Elizabeth/Delilah/Felicity/Matilda (just using Emma Rose as an incredibly common four-letter each fn/mn combo LOL). Hopefully that makes sense. ;)

Thanks! I knew someone out there would have a better grip on it than I did! Welsh isn't my specialty, except for where it intersects with Cornish...

I don't think having a short middle name (thus, I would assume, a one-syllable name) sounds like the best option for you. Varying the number of letters and syllables usually makes the full name flow better.

That said, here are some short options for you--the styles vary a lot, since we don't know what your other two name choices are:

Drew
Fife
Finn
Grace
Gwen
Hope
Lark
Liv
Maeve
Maude
Nell
Pearl
Rain
Rune
Ruth
Ryan
Sage
Shae/Shea
Tess
Wynn
Blue
Wren
Storm

Good luck! And if you give us the rest of your names, we might be able to help more.
