Need help with Ted

Hello everyone,
We are recently pregnant with baby #3 and are kind of assuming it's a boy. (Our other two are, and Chinese gender chart says this is a boy, and that's *never* wrong :) )
Anyway, dh and I kind of got together due to our love of baseball. Our other boys' names are Henry (Hank) and Ty. We really want to use Teddy for this baby (if it really is a boy). However, Edward is OUT and we think Theodore is a little too stiff. (It also reminds us too much of the Chipmunks!) So my question is, can anyone think of a good long name for Ted that isn't Edward or Theodore?
Thanks,
Jamie

Thanks belle_petite for the siggy!
I was surprised to read this posting because this morning my dh suggested Teddy. We debated what we could name him because we feel the same way about Theodore and Edward. Unfortunatley I won't be a lot of help. You could use just Theo. Some names we found in our baby name book: Tedmund, Theodoric, Thedric/Thedrick, Theophilus, Thebault. I'm not crazy about any of these. I will be interested in others' suggestions.
I love the name Teddy and congratulations!
Megan
Are the other Ed- names out too? Edmond/Edmund, Edgar, Edwin, Edric... Maybe Frederick?!
Personally, I really love Theodore and don't find it stiff at all -- try spelling it Theodor and see if that changes its feel. That's my preferred spelling -- adds more of an Eastern European flair to negate the British crustiness.

Erin
Thaddeus or Edwin would get my vote. ;)
