Hi There,
I need help with names for our baby to be. We have six kids, three boys and three girls. We have two boys with "C" names and two girls with "S" names so we need a "J" boys name to go with our other boy and an "R" name to go with our other daughter. I like different but not out there names and also old fashioned names. HELP!

Tracey
Mom to:

Reilly (girl)

Here are a few suggestions (I put the SSA rankings next to the name for easy popularity reference):

Boys:

Jace (228, also Jayce 519 and Jase 619)
Jared (127, also Jarod 987)
Jarrett (518)
Jasper (581)
Jedidiah (960)
Jensen (967)
Jody (976)
Joel (125)
Jonah (177)
Jonas (460)
Josiah (144)
Jude (375)

The last three in particular I think would be a really good fit for you. They are all sort of old-fashioned, but not very common. I also think Jensen and Jody would be a great match with your other kids. I also love Jacob and Joshua, but those are probably too popular for you.

Girls:

Raquel (443)
Reagan (142)/Regan (417)/Raegan (489)
Reese (262)
Rhiannon (623)
Robin (963, also Robyn 964)
Rory (985)
Rosalind (not in the top 1000)
Rowen (not in the top 1000)

Rory and Rowen seem like really good matches in the "different but not out there" category. Reese too, to some degree, but I think it's becoming more common. Rosalind is a gorgeous old-fashioned name (it's a shakespeare name) that is really underused.

Good luck! (BTW, I LOVE the name Cohen and almost never see it!)
