Need mn for Kaylan

I posted here a few months ago about needing matching "an" names for my ds Dillan and dd Jaydan. If it's a boy, it will definitely be Logan Anthony. For a girl, me and the kids love Reagan but dh doesn't like it. He likes Kaitlan but there are way too many around here. So we've compromised on Kaylan (Kailan) but need help with a mn. I thought of Kaylan Rae and Kaylan Brianne. So what have you ladies got for me? And which spelling do you like best with my other 2 names?

Allison baby #3 due 7/17/06
ds Dillan Scott
dd Jaydan Alissa
#3 either Logan Anthony or Kaylan ??

Kailan GMV :o) As for a MN, here's a couple suggestions I like:

Kailan Rae

Kailan Olivia

Kailan Abigail

Kailan Elisabeth/Elizabeth

Kailan Rose

Hope this helps a bit! And I *have* to tell you, I love your choice for DS #1's name :o)

I don't really think she asked for your harsh opinion on the FIRST name. She asked for help with a middle name! My DD's name is Kailyn. I love her name! You may not, and that's fine, but your comment was pretty rude!

I have to say that I don't want an argument, but I do not agree with you at all. Kaylan is not my favorite name in the world, but I wouldn't think it sounded bad on any little girl. As a mother who named her son something different and something that I LOVE, I think your comments are a little harsh. I mean she is talking about naming her daughter Kaylan, NOT STRAWBERRY (there is a BIG differnce to me). I worked in a daycare for about 5 years so I have heard all kinds of names, and Kaylan was one of them, so I wouldn't say that she made it up, perhaps someone did, but so what. Infact I thought my sons name was very different, but since he has been born I have heard his name a few times, and two of them were adults. I just think it is wrong to say a name is normal or not normal.

Wow. You hit me twice. My other DD's name is Hayleigh.

Yes, the spelling is different, yes we have to tell people how to spell it. But HAY is simple enough and LEIGH is actually a name.

Kailyn, in my opinion, is not a cutesy name. She can, if she wants, go by Kay when she's older. I'm not sure how different it is from Kaitlin. Right now, that name to me does not sound grown up either.

My question is, why does it matter SO much to you that you have to "BEG people not to give their baby a made up name"? How does it really affect you?

I understand there will be opinions given on this board. That's why it's here. But like I said in my previous post, she did not ask your opinion on the first name. She asked for help with a mn. That's why I don't see the reason behind your rudeness. You said you have tried to be polite to other people. Why couldn't you be that way to the OP and not sound so harsh regarding the name she chose? You have to admit, you were pretty rude.

Kris (who is sure you will now have a comment on the spelling of Hayleigh)
