How you do feel about giving a child a proper first name and then a more trendy middle name? I really like the name Makelle for a middle name and I don't know if it would detract from the FN. What do you think. Arden Makelle or Kathryn Makelle just for an example.

These are more names that I found in family history. Not sure where they came up with some of these. Some aren't bad though. I hope I'm not the only one with some of these names in my History. HAHAHA!

Elina

Glenys

Arliss

Maris

Delcina

Helaine

Keturah

Inez ( my favorite aunt) At one time I was naming a girl Amelia Inez.

Vaneta

Tessa

Boys:

Noble

Merrill

I like the name Makelle. Different...but I like it. I prefer Arden on a boy, though. I don't like any of the names you listed.

Now that's an insult to my family history! Just kidding. Some of these names went clear back to the 1700's. I guess they even had trendy names back them cause I haven't heard many of them recently. Thanks for the input.

I just used Arden as an example. I really don't know which of my long list to put with Makelle but I did think it's cute. My name is Michelle (Shelly) and I've already used that and so have other family members. So Makelle was similar yet different. Talk to you later!

I like Makelle as a mn. I prefer Kathryn to Arden though.

Elina - this is pretty.

Glenys - I actually love this - I've only seen it spelled Glynis. It reminds me of the more popular Carys.

Arliss - this is nmsaa, especially for a girl.

Maris - I like this!

Delcina - this is nmsaa.

Helaine - nmsaa. I do love Helen, Helena, and Elena though.

Keturah - this nmsaa.

Inez ( my favorite aunt) At one time I was naming a girl Amelia Inez. Could be a cute mn, especially since it has significance for you.

Vaneta - this is nmsaa.

Tessa - very cute!

Boys:

Noble - this seems feminine to me probably because of names like Honor, Hope, Grace, and Faith. It's nms for either gender and could be hard to live up to...

Merrill - I have a friend (a girl) named Merrill so I can't see it on a boy. When I hear it, I think Meryl Streep.

It's fun going through the family tree. I love when people use family names.

Good Luck!

Hey, I was waiting for you to give me your advice on the first part of my question. What do you think about Makelle for a middle name? I promise I'd use a wonderful classic name for the fn. I always wait for your comments so I felt cheated!!! Thanks
