I did a poll and came up with lots of opinions. However I really like the name Avery and wonder if people don't like the name, or just think it's a girls name. I also like the name Tyson. I think I've decided Aidan is too overused. Any thoughts or ideas would be greatly appreciated at this point. I'm fairly certain mn will be William or Craig. Big sisters are Taylor and Paige. Thanks!!!

I love the name Avery for a boy, it's always been one of my all time favorites. If my Dh would have loved it (or even liked it, lol), my DS who is now 8, would've been an Avery. I think the general concensus of the board is that it is one of those great boy names that has gone to the girls and is becoming over-used. I personally think of Avery as a boys name & I think I always will, and I have to say I do not know a single Avery, boy or girl. I think it's a great choice. I also love the name Aidan, which is said to be popular, but I know no Aidans either. I swear I don't live in isolation!!! Of the names you picked I like Avery the best, followed by Aidan & Tyson. If you are worried about running into girl Avery's in school & think Aidan is too popular for you, then Tyson is a good option. It's not one of my personal favorites, but it does bring to mind a strong man. :) I think Craig or William are great mn choices. Both are very classic & strong. Good luck!!! HTH

My best friend married a Tyson, I think it's a great name. I have a friend who has a son named Avery also and it's a very adorable boy's name. I say go with whichever one you like best, they're good strong names!

I think Avery has become, or will soon become, like Taylor. Once a boy's name, now a girl's name.

For me Avery is a girl's name. I knew a girl growing up named Avery and I've never met a boy named Avery. I think it just depends on who you talk to. To me, Avery, Cameron and Morgan are girl's names because I have only met girls with those names (and these are adults now, not little kids).

Avery: Its growing on me. The first time I heard it was on a girl, so that always pops into my head when I hear it. I like it on a boy though, and think it would sound nice with Taylor and Paige. Avery Criag would sound great.

Tyson: I like this, but I wouldn't use it because you aleady have one daughter starting with a "T" and the other with a "P". If this doesn't bother you, go ahead. Its nice. I prefer Tyson Craig over Tyson William.

I really like the sound of Taylor, Paige and Avery. I'm having a hard time with Tyson because of Taylor and think they would sound too much alike. I had trouble with people thinking of Taylor as a boys name when we named her because I had never heard it for a boy. Everyone in the area where we live thinks we have strange names for our children anyway so I guess it won't matter too much. Thanks so much for all of the input.

I think Tyson William is very nice! You could use the nn Ty, which is also very nice on a little boy or for a grown man! I also like Avery for a boy, but I don't like the idea that more and more girls are named it.

I don't remember your poll so I don't remember which name I voted for but, actually, I DO like the name Avery. I would guess that you're right in thinking that most didn't vote for it because of the girl thing. (Don't you hate that that's happening to boys' names?!) Anyway, Avery is a nice name ... even for a boy! I also like your mns. How about Craig William? I really like the name Craig.

I do see Avery as a boys' name, and I like it well enough. However, having a *sister* named Taylor might make me assume that Avery (also unisex) was a little girl. That's JMO, though.

Tyson isn't really my style either, but it's not bad, and I think it goes well with your other kids' names. Titus would also lend itself to the nn Ty if you like that.

Some other ideas if you're still looking...
Gavin
Pierce
Grant
Brandon

Good luck!

Thanks for the suggestion og Craig William. It sounds great to me and dh hasn't turned up his nose and said no way so I think it might be a winner. My girls are getting anxious for a name so they can call him something. The doctor had better be right that it's a boy!!:):) Thanks again!!
