NEED A NICKNAME
| Mon, 08-06-2007 - 2:10pm |
Hi- we are naming our baby boy Charles James III. I don't like it, but it was important to my husband who is a Junior. I don't like any derivatives either like Chad, Charlie or Jimmy. Does anyone know any nicknames related to being a III? I also don't like Tre or Trip. I'm stumped as to what to call this child.

When I taught preschool - I had a little boy in class - his name was Charles - they called him Chazz
You could also use - Trey for three.
HTH - WDYT?

Hi there.
First of all, I don't think that you should name your child Charles James III if you don't like it. Period. It's your child too, & both parents need to have an equal say.
But...on the subject of names, here are a few more nns you could go for:
C.J.
Chase
Chet
James
Jem
Jass
Jamie
Hope this helps!
How do you feel about Jay as a short form of James? My mom has a cousin Charles who goes by Chaz there is CJ or Les would work Mac maybe since it is a son of kinda thing. I posted looking for Generic nicknames and got some great suggestions let me see if I can find it.
Here it is there are several messages but this one had the most.

I love Chaz/Chas! It has a very cool unique feel w/the great resume name of Charles to go back to when he's older. I picture a spunky sweet boy full of mischief!
I would love for my Maren to be playground buddies with a Chas!

only one I can think of, and it has nothing to do with 'three', but--
Arlo.
"arl" comes from chARLes, and then put an "o" at the end
I like Jamie....I've heard Trey once, too...
CJ?
I really like Chase as a nn for Charles.
