Need a one-syllable boy name

Hi! Not due until May and not sure what we're having yet, but we're having trouble agreeing on a nice boy's name. DS #1's name is Max (short for Maxwell). We like one-syllable names for boys, or at least names that have an easy one-syllable nickname (nothing that's a stretch). DH's name is Brad, short for Bradford. Any good ideas? We don't care for anything that's too common (no Jon's for Jonathan) or too trendy (no Jack's for Jackson). Thanks!

I didn't read thru the other responses, so these are probably repeats

1-syllable names

Luke, Todd, Chase, Brent, Brock, Cole, Dwight, Grant, Gage, Heath, Jace, Kyle, Rhett, Trent, Troy (I like Luke & Rhett the best of those)

Longer names with 1-syllable nn

Joshua (Josh)
Matthew (Matt) -ah, too close to Max for you though
Michael (Mike)
Marcus (Mark)
Christopher (Chris)
Douglas (Doug)
Gregory (Greg)
Jacob (Jake)
Lucas (Luke)
Nicholas (Nick)
Nathan (Nate)
Zachary (Zack) probably also too close to Max

good luck

I love... Pierce, Brooks, Grant, Graham, Chase, Chance, Ross.
For 2 syllable, how about Campbell (Camp)?
I think Ben for Bennett is great, I know that has been mentioned several times. But then again I had a cat named Maxwell Benjamin so I guess I'm biased! LOL
What is your choice if you have a girl?
Good luck and congratulations!

I love love LOVE Joe. I was hoping for a boy so I could name him that. It is common but I think it's simple, strong and just a great all around name.

Good luck!
