Need Opinions and 'K' names
12

HI all!

I am in need of opinions for names... For girls we have these FN's picked: Kalena and Kameko, and I'd really like an 'R' middle name I'm thinking Kalena Rose or Kalena Rhea(DBF doesn't like Rhea though). Any suggesstions for 'R' middle names for Kameko? Which do you like better?

Also We'd like a 'K' boys' name as well... DBF likes Kenyon(his name) but I'm not big on Jr's. I like Kai, but I'm worried it's becoming to femmine. I'd love a name that doesn't end in 'den, 'len, 'an. Also, any 'R' middle name suggestions? My DS is named Quintin Rhys, so I kind of like the 'R' trend.

Oh and the baby's LN will be Willams if that helps any.

Thanks in advance,
Lauren

Rose is a bit of a filler mn. I would go with something more special:

Rhoslyn

Rhiannon

Rebekah

Reba

Rory

Rachel

Rachelle/Rochelle

Reina/Rayna

Ramona

Ruth

As for boys, it is more difficult to find a name you LOVE when you corner yourself into using one letter. Is there a reason why it has to be a K?

How about...

Kane

Keegan

Keenan

Kieran

Keith

Keifer

Kyle

Kingston

First, Quentin/Quintin is one of my all time favorite boys names.

Here are some other girl K names that match your style:
Kiana
Katriel
Katrine
Kassia/Cassia - I like this name with a C

Other girl R middle names: Rosette, Rosa, Roseanne, Rosalie, Rosaleen, Rosaline, Rosalyn, Rosemarie, Rosemary, Rue, Ruth, Roxanne, Raquel, Rhiannon, Rebecca/Rebekah

Boy K names:
Kellan/Kellen - I like this the best with Quintin, I know it has a "lan" ending
Khalil/Kalil - an alternative for Kai (also, I do not think that Cai/Kai is becoming fem)
Kyle
Kale
Keats
Keller
Kenneth - this is my second fav with Quintin

Boy R names: Remington, Rafael, Roderick, Rhett, Rowan, Ryder, Rafe, Rafferty,

cute names! I think I prefer Kalena to Kameko, but either one is different- names I've never heard of but yet, they sound more like they are obscure as opposed to "made up", kwim?

I like Kalena Rose, and I also think that Kalena Rae would be very pretty. I agree with your DH about Kalena Rhea, I guess I'm not too crazy about that pair b/c then they both end in "a"...

For Kameko, how about Kameko Renee? Kameko Rochelle? Rae even goes well with Kameko... as I'm looking at the name, though, I wonder if I'd like it better if spelled Kamiko... well, either way, it's cute... I like Kalena a lot...

Good luck!!

I was going to suggest either using Rachel or Rachelle. That is my daughters middle name. It was supposed to be Rachelle, but I spelled it Rachel on her birth certificate. I still call her Jacquelyn Rachelle, but again, it is actually Jacquelyn Rachel. I still get teased about this occasionally, by my Ex husband, and now 16 yr old daughter.

As for a boys name, I have my son and his name is Kyle James. I was going to suggest Kyle, but someone already has. It is kind like Kai, but different. In my sons class, there is a little girl named Kylie though.

Best of luck.

I think Kalena Rhea (Rae) is beautiful -- and it matches DS's name in a subtle not so cutesy way. Kameko is neat but I would associate that more with a boy.

I love love love Kai. It is so masculine to me -- as is Tai or Ty, a similar nice boy name. Kai goes well with 2-syllable mns like Robert, Russell, Rowan, etc.

A friend of mine just named her son Maseo (ma-SAY-o) Kai. I love it.

Good luck!

hello!! i like your sons name-quintin-unique. as far as a boys name, i have a nephew named kenneth ryan, but hes named after his dad...(his dad is actually kenneth reed though). as far as mns for a boy-theres ryan, reed, robert, ricky, richard, rico, or ray. as far as a first name-i like kai. i know a guy named micah-and i would think that that was a feminine name-until i met this guy. i think kai would work on a guy-so would just plain ol ken....then he wouldnt be a junior, but close. theres keegan too-or keith, kraig, karlton or keenan. for a girl, you definitely have unique choices-i havent heard of either one-i perfer the flow of kalena to kameko...for mn choices: rose, rhiannon/rhiann, rae, raine, ryan, raven, roberta, rickie, renee or renna. for another k name-kirsten, kalista, krista, kimberly, kammi, kassidy, katherine, kitana, katrina or karolina. good luck!!!
