Need opinions/help with a name!

I am currently expecting my fourth baby. I have 3 boys and we are thrilled that this one is a girl. We had narrowed the names down to Regan for this one, but for some reason that name just isn't it, if that makes sense. With all my boys the name we picked fit and felt right, I just can't grasp this one. So I am coming to all of you for help :) My boys names are Haden, Grant and Coleman (Cole). We have been throwing names around but right now I am open to anything. A couple that we liked before we Paige, Tayla, Kinsey (except I just had a friend tell me it reminded her of a sex institute, so probably not). Any suggestions or advice would be great! Thanks so very much!!

By the way her middle name is going to be Marie, just FYI. Thanks again!

Haden, Grant and Coleman are great sibling names. Regan is cute, but something less unisex might flow better.

"Frilly" doesn't seem to be your style. How about these names that are feminine, yet spunky.

Jillian
Brenna
Skylar
Erica
Nina
Brooke
Delaney
Phoebe
Dana
Taryn
Cassidy
Gemma

It sounds like you like some of the same crisp, tailored names that my husband and I like. Here are a few favorites:

Averil
Adair
Lael
Eileen
Portia
Bellamy
Ione
Tyne

LOL Kinsey is my maiden name. Now on to the actual post ...

Maybe none of these seem to be "the one" because you want something more feminine for your only girl after three boys? ;) Not making an assumption of your style -- that just seems to be the case with many in the same situation, and nearly all the options you listed are gender neutral (including Tayla, with its association with Taylor). Add in the fact that Hayden is also used for girls -- unless I'm mispronouncing Haden ... if so I apologize, I've just seen this used as a variation of Hayden so I'm guessing -- and it makes perfect sense you might prefer something feminine for this little girl. ;)

Just going off of Regan, Paige, Tayla and Kinsey, you might also like:

  • Tegan -- strictly feminine name said to rhyme with Megan

  • Megan LOL

  • Ayla/Aila

  • Isla (IE-la, like island)

  • Lila

  • Lindsay -- technically unisex, but most will assume this is feminine

  • Morrigan -- has the unisex sound you seem to like, but this spelling/pronunciation is strictly feminine

  • Fiona/Finola -- again, gives you the option of Finn, but also a very feminine given name

I won't get too carried away, not knowing if that's the style/feel

Sorry about the Kinsey comment, I just had a friend tell me that last night.

Yes Haden is pronounced that way, you are right one that. I guess I am wanting something more girly like to make her stand out a bit from the boys names.

I am loving the ideas you are all giving me, now I just need to bounce some ideas off of DH to see what he thinks. If you have anymore please feel free to share them! Thanks so much!!

You are right. Reagan just doesn't fit with the rest of your names. I think your girl name should be more obviously feminine, here are just a few that came to mind.

I love the names of you other children! Great job :)
I also really like the name Tayla. I once had a little girl in my kindergarten class named Tayla. Love it! But, since you are looking for more options I will throw out a few ;)

Ella Marie
Adelyn Marie
Rebecca Marie
Ann-Marie (double name)
Sara Marie (double name)
Adeline Marie
Caroline Marie
Katherine Marie (nn Kate)
Hadley Marie
Avery Marie
Lydia Marie
Natalie Marie
Leah Marie
Brooke Marie
Rachel Marie
Megan Marie (I have a friend that spells her name like this, but it is pronounced Mee-gan. I like it!)
Presley Marie
Clara Marie
Suzanna Marie

Okay, that was more than a few! But, I think that is all I can think of. WDYT?

Best wishes!
Leslie :)
