Hi there,

We have a Briana in the family that has been called Breezy for years. She is sometimes called Brie now as an adult and I think it's a charming feminine nn. "Briana", and all the various spellings, is becoming pretty common though. (i think)

It's ironic that you are trying to find a name for nn 'Breezy'

here is one - I found the meaning of it etc. on babynames.com

BRISA

  • The meaning of the name Brisa is Breeze, Small Wind
  • The origin of the name Brisa is Spanish

I had come across this about 6-8 weeks ago when a girl in my office

Thalia-not my style

Catalina-not my style

Thea-I love this one. It's my Mother in law's name but It's close to Leah. very nice

Reina/Rainia-kinda sounds made up. don't like it

As far as the nn Breezy....here are some full-name suggestions:

Breanna-sweet, good name for an adult, name of my hubby's ex, but i love her name

Brielle-nms

Brinley-wayyy to cutesy and I can't picture a 40 year old woman named Brinley

Brea-cute

Braelyn/Braylin-again too cutesy for an adult, but nice for a little kid

Berit (Bear-it)-goodness no

Brenna-very elegant

Brenley-too cutesy

Brogan-sounds more like a boys name, and totally unfeminine for a girl

I THINK YOUR BEST ONES ARE THEA AND BREANNA, BUT THAT'S JUST MY OPINION....GOOD LUCK!!!!

Hi there,

Here are my thoughts on the names in your list:

Aurelia - I think this is beautiful, especially with other dd Adria

Araceli - I personally don't like this, not sure why

Thalia - It's okay

Katarina/Katrin - This is okay, but not sure it goes so well with Adria. I also think it'll be mispronouned a lot as Kathrine

Catalina - okay, but not the best fit with Adria, IMO

Mariana - nice. It's different and unique

Thea - Also nice. Goes well with Adria

Breezy - NMS, and I don't think it "goes" with Adria. However, I've listed some full name ideas at the end of this list.

Reina/Rainia - Nice and goes well with Adria. Rainia may be a bit close to Adria though?

Fredricka - I don't like this.

Jane - I prefer this as a mn, as it seems plain next to Adria. Nice name, though.

Taylor - seems very masculine next to Adria. It's okay though.

Sydney - same as for Taylor

Riley - I really like the name Riley

Johanna - Nice

Charlotte - Nice, but not sure it goes well with Adria

Carine - Same as for Charlotte.

You have great names on your list! I hope my opinions have been of a bit of help to you? My favs from your list are Aurelia, Mariana, Thea and Raina, and I think they all sound great with Adria.

Here are some ideas for nn Breezy:

Aubrey (which I think goes well with Adria), Brea, Breanna, Breena, Brielle, Briannon, Bridget...see any you like?

I've noticed your list has a lot of Spanish names. Are you leaning more towards that direction or more towards the Jane, Taylor, Charlotte direction (although quite beautiful names IMO, seem opposite of Spanish to me)? If you're liking the Spanish sounding names more, then here's some other suggestions I think may work with Adria, if you're interested:

Adria and Miranda
Adria and Franchesca/Francesca
Adria and Valentina
Adria and Anabel
Adria and Karina

HTH. Good Luck!!!
