Our last name is Haney, so it's alittle hard to find names that flow well with it. As of now we like the names Nathan Daniel and Brandon Michael for a boy. For the girls though..it's alittle difficult, we like Breanna Marie, Breanna Elizabeth, Natalie Marie and Natalie Anne (Marie, Elizabeth, and Anne are family names).

I like Sophia also. Can you give me some girl names that are feminine and aren't too off the wall, I like girl names that end in a vowel, but that's not a must have.

of your list the only one that I feel sounds bad with Haney - is Nathan

say it WITHOUT the Daniel in there, because that's what he'll hear - Nathan Haney

too much long A.

Nathaniel Haney would work, because the A in Nathaniel is not long, but then you obviously couldn't have Daniel has a middle name with both ending in iel, the same sound.

personally I like Brandon Michael Haney better for a boy anyway.

I think Breanna sounds better with Haney than Natalie - I think long-e sound enders (Natalie, Delaney, Tiffany, Mackenzie, Amy, Molly, etc anything that ends with the long E sounds doesn't go well with Haney)

I like Breanna Marie much better than Brianna Elizabeth.

Sophia Haney sounds OK, shortened to Sophie Haney, which could happen, does not.

here are some other girl names I think might go well with Haney and actually I think names that DO NOT end in a vowel actually sound the best going into Haney - because H is such a soft consonant it almost works like a vowel in some cases - some of the A-enders do sound OK going into Haney

Dominique Haney
Erica Haney
Gisele Haney
Jocelyn Haney
Jillian Haney
Javonne Haney
Kirstin or Keirsten Haney
Larissa or Larisa Haney
Marissa Haney
Natasha Haney
Sabrina Haney
Samara Haney
Sienna Haney
Sierra Haney
Tonya Haney
Tasha Haney
Tara Haney
Vanessa Haney

good luck

Your boys names sound fine. I used to know someone named Bill Haney, which sounds good too!

For a girls name, I like Sophie Haney, Natalie Haney, Marie Haney and Anne (nn Annie) Haney, in that order.

Elizabeth would be a good middle name with all of them.

I prefer the "ee" sound before Haney more than the "a" sound (as in Brianna or Sophia).

My son's name is Brandon Michael, so of course I pick that for a boy, but I do like Nathan Daniel too.

I like both Natalie and Breanna, but I think Breanna Haney sounds better.

Gabriella and Olivia I like alot, I like Aubrey or Audrey instead of Audra though. I also like Kirsten but would hope people would pay attention to the spelling and not call her Kristen. And I also thought about the spelling Brianna instead but Andrew likes Breanna more. I agree with the ee sounds too, I always loved Katie for a nn but Katie Haney just isn't right at all :) Thanks for all the help and if someone else has a suggestion I'll take what help I can!
