Need traditional boy's name ideas!

Hi - I'm currently expecting our second boy in May, and I need some thoughts about boy names! We like traditional names - like Gregory, Andrew, etc. I'm not a fan of funky spelling names, *new* names or last names for a first name (like Cooper or Carter).

My last name is Sottile (pronounced So-teel-lay) and we'd like to use my middle name (Townsend) for this guy's middle. Our son's name is Ethan Mario (Mario is FIL's first name).

DH is Sicilian, I'm English/Welsh/Irish/German mutt. We're trying to stay a bit on the nationality-neutral side. Sean or Aidan Sottile doesn't really fit! Here's what I've come up with:

Andrew - my fav, but DS has a first cousin by the same last name who is Andrew, DH has vetoed
Matthew - a runner up for DS1. Probably our front-runner.
William - my grand-uncle's name. OK, but I don't like Will as a nickname.
Nicholas - I thought I loved this before I had DS1, but I don't like it now.
Gregory - I love this name, but it is DH's and we don't want to do Jr.

PLEASE HELP!

Hiya

I like Matthew, also like Benjamin and Samuel- although these ar pretty popular these days. How about Harry, Thomas or Joshua? Our 2nd born is Ethan - our 1st is Caleb so we have Caleb and Ethan, then a daughter and this baby is also a girl - had she been a boy we were going with Noah!

Thanks everyone for the suggestions! I'm rethinking Nicholas, and I hadn't thought of Geoffrey, I kind of like it! I think Matthew is still my #1 but DH keeps saying he'll sound like a WASP poster child (then of course I remind him that I AM a WASP poster child LOL).

I love the suggestions of Michael, Anthony, Oliver, Paul, Stephen, Samuel, Alexander, Lucas, and David.... but they are also all taken by immediate family members - this is the problem with a huge Italian family!

I've also been thinking about Jack as a nickname... but for what as a formal name? Jonathan/John? I don't care much for Jackson.

THIS IS SOOO HARD!

Thanks!
