Need your opinion on which boy name...

Hi everyone,
We have finally decided on the name Tate for our little boy. We are stumped for the middle name though. Our last name is very short and common. The first two names are family names and the last is my maiden name. All of these names are sentimental and I can't decide! Tate Tyson might be too.... "tee" sounding?

Tate Tyson
Tate Reed
Tate Richman

What do you think?

I think Tate Richman sounds the nicest. I don't like how Tate and Tyson go together- you're right about it being too "tee" sounding. Tate Reed would be nice, but only if you have a longer last name. If it is a 1-syl last name, then I wouldn't use it.

Tate Richman gets my vote.
Tate Tyson - too many Ts
Tate Reed +short last name - I don't like 3 short names together

Agreed! I think Tate Richman sounds good even without knowing anything about the last name. Good choice! Good luck!

I agree that the first choice is too "tee" sounding, and if your last name is very short and common I think Reed may be a little too "abrupt." (For example, if I use Smith, that would make it Tate Reed Smith, and it just doesn't seem to flow very well). I think Richman flows nicely, however, and since it's your maiden name I think it would be perfect. :) Good luck choosing!

I personally love Tate Richman "Smith" (to borrow a short common last name).

I think it flows better with two syllables in the middle.

I agree with the pp - Tate Richman is definitely my favorite. It sounds great together. Tyson has too much "tee" sound, and I really like Reed, but I don't think three one-syllable names flow as nicely as a two-syllable middle name. BTW, I LOVE Tate!

Hi! I really like the name Tate

I like Tate Richman the best

I think it sounds the best and its a cool idea to use your maiden name as his middle name.

Also since Tate is short and your last name is short have you considered using two middle names? If its easier to boot out just one.
Example:
Tate Reed Tyson ____
Tate Tyson Reed ____
Tate Tyson Richman ____

Just ideas . Good luck!

Names are so personal that it is always hard, which is probably why we are all on this board seeking assistance.

My opinion for whatever is worth would be to go with Tate Reed. Although, I really like all of your options. So I dont think you will go wrong with any of the choices.

Good Luck.

I like Tate Richman, it balances out the short first and last names.
