I was looking at a birth announcement website and found the name Taitlyn. I'm not sure if I care for it or not, but thought it was worth sharing!

Thoughts?

Yeah I have to agree with the PP, it sounds made up to me. Also when I say it, its like I am saying Kaitlyn with some sort of speech problem...KWIM? Like a toddler would say Kaitlyn.

I've never heard of it before & I don't care for it. I like Tatum better but don't really like that too much either!

MNMSAA

ITA with the pp who said it sounds like a child mispronouncing the name. Actually my middle child said T's for hard C sounds for years, so my first thought was that.

Maybe I'm the only one who thinks of this, but it is very close to a slang term for the "female parts" and I just think it sounds dirty.

I don't like it at all! I think it looks like a cre8iv for either "Kaitlyn" or "Tatum" and the person failed woefully at being unique or different and instead created something that sounds silly to most readers. Also, it looks too much like a misspelling/mispronunciation of "teat" with "lyn" added to the end. Kind of like what an expectant mother that has breastfeeding on the brain might imagine up!

Sorry if that sounds harsh- it's just the things that came to mind when I saw this "name". NMSAA
