Hi all -
I'm new to this board and I'm looking for some boy first name suggestions. The middle name is all set: Duncan. My husband and I both love the name Griffin, but Griffin Duncan sounds...not so good, I fear. We cannot use Duncan as the first name.

What do you think works with Duncan as a middle name? We like strong boy names, whatever that means...and our last name is one syllable beginning with S.

Thank you in advance!

How about "Slam". ha ha Just kidding.

Let's see, strong names:
Jacob Duncan (Jake)
Rocco Duncan
Nico Duncan
Elliott Duncan (nn Eli)
Anthony Duncan
Michael Duncan
Gunnar Duncan

My suggestions are all over th place, but I was trying to think of strong names, both "different" and common.

Good luck!

We have friends who have a Joseph Duncan, and he goes by Duncan. I can't come up with any other suggestions but I thought I'd at least throw that out.

Yes, I agree-- you have to choose b/t Griffin and Duncan. They are too similar to use together. I would steer you to a very traditional masucline of 2 or more syllables that does NOT end with the letter n. How about:

Garrett Duncan
William Duncan
Thomas Duncan
Gabriel Duncan
Grady Duncan
Grant Duncan (one syllable option)
Connor Duncan
Robert Duncan
Tanner Duncan
Harris Duncan

How about Griffith Duncan? That eliminates the double 'n' endings - but still gives you a very similar name to the one you like.

Other ideas:

Tyler Duncan
Richard Duncan
Connor Duncan
Bradley Duncan
Christopher Duncan
Andrew Duncan
Garrick Duncan
Jeremy Duncan
