New here question about boys name...

Hi, I am expecting #3 in January. The name we have picked for this little boy is Squire. I told my family yesterday and they thought the name was awful. What do you think? We have two girls already Abigail and Mary Jane. I checked the social security index and Squire hasn't been in the top thousand names for any year since 1890. So it is a really uncommon name. I am looking for something uncommon but not weird. Help Please!

If you like the name, you ought to go with it. However, do realize that "Squire" is actually an English title for a nobleman's servant (ie. Lord Windsor's squire); I've never heard it used as a first name.
Good luck!
I called my first son Eden, (Eden Lewis) and love the name. It is unique but still modern and a slight variation on the popular Ethan and Aiden's.
Other than that don't tell family/friends until your child is born then people are much more likely to keep their thoughts to themselves as its an actual child they are commenting on if they don't like it.
Hi.
Can't say I have ever heard of that name. But only in my opinion, I would have to agree with your family on this one. Open to suggestions, hopefully. If you definately decide to go with that name, just picture him at age 5,10,20,40,70. Also maybe giving him a very usual middle name in case he would decide not to use his first name for whatever reason.
