Hi all!

We just found out today that we are having a little boy, we already have a son named Christian Francis.

I love the name Adrian, and my Dh was so-so about it. I thought I could convince him until this afternoon my mom said people would be saying

"yo adddrrriannn" like in Rocky.

I know I shouldn't be concerned about what other people say because you can practically make fun of every name if you put your mind to it. Now my DH says he doesn't like it because of that!
I wish my mom didn't say anything!
sheesh!

We also like Hayden, but I don't like it as much as Adrian.
What do you guys think?

I know a few girls named Adrian, Not spelled like that but still the same name. That is the only reason I dont like it for a boy. But if you like it and you can convince DH then go for it! Goodluck!

I like Adrian a lot better than Hayden! I have never liked the "hay" names - I guess because they remind me of hay, hayseed, straw, etc. :)

What about Julian? Or Sebastian?

Good luck!

I LOVE Adrian for a boy. It sounds so wonderful! I don't like Adrienne on a girl nearly as much. If you MIL comments on 'Yo Ariennnnnnne" again, point out that that's a Girl he's calling and the girl spelling is different. Adrian is one of the names I'd considered before finding out I was carrying a girl this time around. :)

edited to fix my spelling.. don't type and feed a baby at the same time!

I don't think the Rocky reference and the yo Adriannnn will happen. I've never been an overly big fan of the name, possibly because the girls name Adrienne is too close and I an not a fan of unisex names for the most part, especially for boys.

Hayden has really gone to the girls.

I think Holden, much more masculine, is a good alternative to Hayden.

good luck.
