I just had to say hi. You and I here trying to name our boys due January 8th! (I had been 8th then 10th, but now 8th)
Anyway, we kind of added Evan to our list. But leaning towards others.
For you, with Isaac, I'd say Benjamin or Evan. Matthew makes a good mn for either.

Isaac and...
Ashton- I love Ashton. It is a fairly modern name, although I wouldn't call it trendy, so I'm not sure it goes well with Isaac, but I do love the name.
Logan- This one is fairly trendy, but I like the way it sounds with Isaac
Evan- my least fave of the list, I find it boring
Matthew- A nice classic
Jonathan- prefer John, Jonathan sounds weak to me
Benjamin- like this
I like Ashton best, followed by Logan and Matthew. As for mn's, I think a family name would be best. A nice classic name.

Thanks. I am liking Ashton more and more as I consider it. We originally started with Asher, but I didn't like the -er on the end, and it kind of evolved into Ashton. We are planning on using a family name or something with a link to family names as a mn, but we wanted to get some unbiased opinions on what mns sound good with those first names.
Jonathan is actually derived from FIL's first name, John, which is why we can't use that name by itself. Our last name is very short, and so we want 2 or 3 syllable first and middle names. We are considering Matthew as a mn. It is not a family name itself, but it's meaning "a gift from God" is the same as the meaning of my name (Janice), FIL (John),MIL (Joan), and my mom's mn (Jeanette) so I thought that would be a neat connection.

HI Janice,
I was originally due 1-19-07 then moved up to 12-20, but I still hang around the Jan board also!
Isaac William
Jonathan Oliver.........could go by nn 'JO'
Benjamin James
Matthew Wilson (this is my little brother's name, expect Mathew with one 't' not two)
GOOD LUCK!
Thanks! I was considering Benjamin James, but worried having "jam" in both names might make them too close. I will bring it up to DH and see what he thinks! He is pushing for Benjamin but we are having trouble with a good middle name for it, and he would prefer a 2 syllable mn because our last name is 1 syllable. James is the only one-syllable mn we are considering right now because it doesn't sound choppy. Another family name we could use is Taylor. What do you think of Benjamin Taylor?
edited to add: My original edd was 12/25, so we are probably pretty close!

OH, I like Benjamin James _____ much better than Benjamin Taylor _____.........I guess the single syllable md and last name don't bother me......and I think Benjamin James has a much better flow than Benjamin Taylor.
