Hi, Im new to this board. I'm due with a baby girl Feb 2007. We picked out the name Alaina Rhoslyn, what do you think? We are using Rhoslyn as a middle name after my hubby's mom because she is very sick and we definately want to honor her (this will be her first grandchild). That is definately going to be her name and its not going to change but I would love your opinions on my list!

Girls-
Evelyn
Kelsey
Ariana
Morgan
Corina
Gwen
Sienna
Kirsten
Genevieve
Camille

Boys-
Cole
Benett
Parker
Nathan
Cooper
Graham
Andrew
Brendan
Connor
Tristan

*Any names you would suggest that sound like good siblings to Alaina?

Thanks everyone!

Welcome, and early congrats on little Alaina. ;)

Girls-
Evelyn -- lovely name. I also like Eveline
Kelsey -- falls into the K name trend, and feels too dated and unisex to me (I immediately think of Kelsey Grammar)
Ariana -- too trendy and not the classiest choice on your list (I've seen too many parents use an "Aryan-" misspelling, including my own cousin's child LOL). I'd prefer Ariadne (the original form) or Aeronwy -- not as common and they avoid the Aryan problem
Morgan -- like this a lot, but prefer Morrigan or Morgana for a girl
Corina -- not my favorite, but nice
Gwen -- love this as a nn for Gwendolen, Gwyneth, Guinevere, etc.
Sienna -- trendy, a mini-van and very close to the laxative (Senna)
Kirsten -- love this (slightly prefer Kirstin)
Genevieve -- beautiful!
Camille -- also a wonderful choice ;)

Boys-
Cole -- like this a lot
Benett -- Bennett is great
Parker -- nice. Fits the occupational names trend (not a bad thing though ... there are so many to choose from, so it doesn't seem TOO trendy or blend in with the rest, KWIM?)
Nathan -- also nice, but common/popular
Cooper -- see Parker. You might also like Spencer, Fletcher, Sawyer, Thatcher, etc.
Graham -- love it
Andrew -- very sweet
Brendan -- like this a lot, but it's also pretty common (I know quite a few)
Connor -- pretty popular as well (still nice )
Tristan -- really love this

I love Rhoslyn as a mn, esp. because of the family connection.

I love the idea of using Rhoslyn as a mn after your mother in law. Not only is it beautiful, but the meaning behind it is perfect.

Girls-
Alaina- Like this a lot, although I might prefer Elena spelling, seems classier
Evelyn- Cute, but a bit frumpy, although nn Evie is nice.
Kelsey- nice, a strong girls name
Ariana- too frilly
Morgan- prefer this for boys
Corina- LOVE this name, although prefer Karina or Corinna spellings
Gwen- cute, also like it as a nn for Gwyneth and Gwendolyn
Sienna- pretty, very frilly
Kirsten- like this, similar feel to Kelsey
Genevieve- pretty, could use nn Evie/Eve
Camille- love this, similar feel to Kelsey/Kirsten = strong

My favourite is Alaina Rhoslyn followed by Corina Rhoslyn and Camille Rhoslyn.

Boys:
Cole- okay. I prefer it as a nn for Nicholas, but I do like it
Benett- Love this, with Bennett spelling. Very strong
Parker- nms, I think of "nosey parker" and it just seems weird as a name
Nathan- Nice. Nathaniel is also nice
Cooper- Seen too many dogs with this name...
Graham- Love this. Could use the tradition Graeme spelling which I prefer
Andrew- A nice classic, Love nn Drew
Brendan- I don't love it, seems weak.
Connor- Great name, but very popular
Tristan- Seems feminine

I love Bennett, Graeme, and Connor best.
