New Zealand joins many countries with legislation banning odd Baby names. With parents naming children with names that do no resonate well in adulthood.

The names laws in Sweden used to be much harder and they only stop weird names or words which will give a problem as older or  is a brand name and few other things.  It isn't that bad at all.

For example  there was a English speaking mother, living in Sweden, who wanted to name her son Token, as in a love token, how ever in Sweden  Token means the fool, the idiot or the retard and she got no. She got upset and couldn't understand why even when she got the name explained.

Pippa is also a name that they ask the parents to  not name children as the spoken name since it means intercourse.
