Hi everyone!

I'm new to the board and I have to say, I've enjoyed reading the posts with some of the beautiful and creative names that you've come up with! Now I'm starting to get more ideas than I had before. :)

I'm Kristina, married to Jason, and we're getting ready to try for our first this month. I'm already thinking of names! That far ahead! :)

Our last name is Purdue (like the university, not like the chicken) so I've been thinking of what would go well with that. DH and I have very differing opinions. But what we do know is that we'll be stealing names from family members... nah, not really stealing, honoring them.

For a boy... I like Eric Thomas (Thomas after my dad), except there we already have a local well-known DJ named Eric Thomas!! Maybe he'll be off the air in our area by the time the kid's in school, lol. I want to use family names as middle names so no one gets confused as to who's who.
I also like the first name Adam, not sure what kind of middle name would go with that. I was thinking maybe Kenneth (after my grandpa, and also one of our best friends) or Richard, after one of my uncles.

And for a girl... I like Eva Grace (after both of our grandmas). DH wants to use Grace as a first name, but I think it would go better as a middle name. Mostly because I have no idea what middle name would go with Grace. "Eva Grace" just flows a lot better, to me.
I've always liked Emily for a first name, but I'm not sure what middle name would go with that. Maybe Jean or Nicole - not after anyone in particular in our family.

Would our children get made fun of if we had a boy and a girl, and named the boy Adam and the girl Eva? Whoooa, didn't think about that. If kids know the Bible by then, maybe.

Anyways, just wanted to drop in and say HI! :)))

Welcome to the board, Kristina! It's nice to have you here. I like the names you've chosen. They are simple but classic. I think Eric Thomas Purdue sounds very nice together. I also really like Eva Grace. Although I think the name Adam is fine, I personally wouldn't use it if you want to name your daughter Eva. Definitely too Garden of Eden. :) Emily Nicole flows well too. What about Emily Grace? If you're concerned about popularity (which I tend to be), I would definitely go with Eva Grace.

I think you're definitely on the right track! Keep us posted!
