A nice, meaningful name...

We are a week or two away from finding out if baby #2 is a boy or girl. I *think* this one is a girl so that's what I'm focusing on for now.
Our DS, who is two, is named Jaden Marshall. I am SO DISAPPOINTED with myself for not doing a better job naming him. DH and I heard the name Jaden once - just once - and liked it immediately. It was one of the few names we could agree on. This was only two years ago. The whole time I was pg, we didn't hear all the other Caden/Braden/Aidan/Hayden/Jaden names going around. Boy if I had...I swear the year he was born (2004) one out of every 3 children must have had one of those names. Believe me, he was not named in order to be "trendy," but that's what that name has become. It does have a meaning - "God has heard" and I still think it's a pretty name, but that's probably because I'm partial to the little tyke it's attached to.
At any rate, we would really like to find a meaningful name for this child. I have asked my mom to put together some names from our family tree for us to take a look at. But I am interested in also looking at names that have a biblical/religious meaning to them.
Do you have any suggestions? I don't want to make the same mistake twice. To be clear, this is not my ONLY criteria....I just want to be thinking of some nice, classic, non-trendy names in addition to those who have a great meaning.
To give you an idea of what I like style-wise, my top pick for a girl is Meredith right now.
Thanks!
Emily

I think a lot of moms who end up with trendy names are like you - just weren't aware of what was going on name wise because maybe you weren't around that many young kids and you don't hang around on boards like this one.
Here are some girl biblical names that are not really unusual, but might not be as trendy as some:
Emmanuelle "God with us" (hebrew)
Lydia "from lydia, greece" (greek)
Miriam "sea of bitterness" (hebrew)
Naomi "pleasant" (hebrew)
Priscilla "ancient" (latin)
Susannah "lily" (hebrew)
Tabitha "roe buck" (hebrew)

Girls:

FWIW, I actually loved the name Jadon (original spelling) years ago, before the whole Aidan-names craze (loved Aidan as well, for that matter LOL). And it does have a great meaning. It's just all the spelling variants -- or outright misspellings, like Jaydynn LOL -- and rhyming names (Aidan, Braden, etc.) that make it "trendy" at the moment. So you didn't do a bad job , but I agree with you that finding a wonderful, non-trendy name for this baby will make your son's name seem even less so, KWIM?
Since Jadon is a Biblical name that wasn't that common until recently, I'd go for something along those lines with this one as well. Something Biblical, but not that well-known. I'll include some that seem more classic or old-fashioned and some "fresh" options.
Girls:
Adalia -- a male name in the OT, but probably better suited for a girl now
Dara -- My own sister's name. LOL A male name in the OT, but also a unisex Irish name
Keturah
Keziah
Magdalene
Mara
Miriam
Moriah
Naomi -- also has a very "pleasant" meaning ;)
Sapphira
Sela
Shiphrah -- "beautiful"
Talitha -- literally means "little girl" in Aramaic
Tirzah -- means "favorable"
Vashti
Boys:
Asa
Asher -- this was my first thought with Jadon. It's actually being used recently, but not in a "trendy" way I don't think (not nearly as popular, although it wouldn't be unheard of, KWIM?). It's meaning is also good ... happy or blessed.
Caleb
Cyrus
Eli/Elijah/Elias/Elliott
Enoch
Ezra
Isaac -- most people know this means "laughter" or "he laughs," which is great. ;) It's also a more classic Biblical name that would make Jadon seem less trendy, more Biblical, KWIM?
Isaiah
Levi
Malachi -- means "my angel"
Matthias
Micah
Phineas
Silas
Thaddeus -- means "heart"
Titus
Tobias
