Hi,
I'm looking for a beautiful, strong girl's name that can have a cute/pretty nickname.
A few examples that are on our list:
Elizabeth nn Lily - do you think enough people know that Lily can be a nn for Elizabeth or is this confusing?
Margaret nn Meg - I really like this - but do you think Meg is boring?
Beatrice nn Bea - maybe too old fashioned?
Edith nn Edie - maybe too old fashioned?
Evelyn nn Evie - maybe too old fashioned?
Amelia nn Mia - not sure Mia sounds best with last name.
Thank you in advance for your help - it is much appreciated!!

OoOoOoh you've got some of my faves on that list!! :)
My favorite favorite favorite is Margaret nn Meg!! Meg is so not boring. I love it!
I love Beatrice, although I do not like the nn Bea. I prefer Trixie!
I also love Amelia and Evelyn, and the NNs you've chosen.
I like Elizabeth but not Lily. My favorite NNs for Elizabeth are Liza, Lizzy, and Betsy. Edith is nmsaa, sorry.
May I suggest my favorite nn for Evelyn - Eva! (Eh-vuh)
Good luck! Great name choices!!
I love your choices....
Lily is confusing coming from Elizabeth...Lizzie is more typical.
Margaret is one of my fav names...Meg is nice.
Beatrice...I hate Bea BUZZ BUZZ
Edith is too old fashioned for me.
Evelyn is making a comeback
Amelia is pretty but the name you choose should sound nice with your last name.
Some of my fav with nicknames...
Marjorie...Jorie
Aurora...Rorie
Corinthianne...Cori/Corinth
Amethyst...Amey
Carissa...Cari
Golden Dawn...Goldie
Alexandria...Andria/Lexie
Out of all the names I liked: Elizabeth, Evelyn, and Amelia. I'm not so sure alot of people know Lily is a nickname for Elizabeth but if the child grows up being called Lily I would think it would be fine. I love the nn Evie its so cute the same for Mia..I know someone whos daughters name is Amelia and they call her Amy for short...maybe a lil confusion but its another idea. Not to big on Margaret either but thats probably because I dont like the nn Meg. Beatrice is a pretty name but Beatrice and Edith are both old fashioned too me.
Good luck with finding a name!!
