No one likes my name

Hello all,
My husband and I CAN NOT come up with a name for our new baby girl. Everything he likes doesn't sound right with our last name. I have been on here alot trying to get help with finding her a name.
No one but my daughter and myself like the name "PAITON RILEY". Thats what we want but hes set against it because he says its a boys name. Please give us some suggestions.
We already have a daughter named Melissa Marie. Our last name is FLEMING if that helps. I'm going out of my mind with this, but we need something we can agree on. If not PAITON, I would really like to keep RILEY.
Thanks alot,
Trishia

Rylee Anne
Rylee Faith

Rylee Nicole
Best Wishes

the thing about Paiton (bad spelling though, Peyton would be much much better) and Riley are both gender-benders, or unisex as they get called mostly on this board.
Melissa is definitely a very feminine name. to me, it'd be odd to go away from that for a sister to her. My suggestion would be to go with something more feminine in the front and use either Peyton or Riley in the middle.
here are some things that I think might fit the style you were into back when you picked Melissa:
Brianna, Catrina, Carina, Delaney, Desiree, Erica, Jocelyn, Jillian, Mallory, Mackenzie, Natasha, Rhiannon, Sabrina, Sierra, Sienna, Tiffany.
good luck
last name is fleming? this sounds really cheesy, but in the movie "the hand that rocks the cradle", the not so emotionally sound nanny is called "peyton flanders". it sounds very similar to paiton fleming.
however, personally, i really like the name paiton fleming. i am not fond of the spelling of paiton though. if your husband thinks it's still too masculine, you could always soften it with a more feminie middle name...
paiton nicole fleming
paiton emily fleming
paiton victoria fleming (not fond of victoria, but it sounds pretty with paiton)
paiton kelsey fleming
paiton rachael fleming
i think melissa and paiton are cute sibling names.
I kind of have to agree with your DH... both Paiton &
I just wanted to chime in and say that I agree with much of what the previous posters have said. I do prefer Peyton spelled like this, as opposed to Paiton. I also think Paiton and Melissa, while both very nice names, have a very disparate style, since Melissa is so feminine and Paiton is more of a unisex/surname type of name. I don't think that sister names have to be a matched set, per se, but if the styles of so different, it may cause sibling rivalry issues.
I do prefer Riley spelled this way, as opposed to trying to "feminize" it more by spelling it Rylee or Ryleigh or something.
Have you considered Paige Riley? Paige keeps the "Pai" sound in Paiton, and has a similar feel, but I think it sounds better with Melissa as a sister.
Anyway, here are some names that are similar to Paiton is style/feel that might appeal to you (and your husband):
Ashton
Aubrey
Avery
Brooke
Blair
Cameron
Devin
Kendall
Keelin
Landry
Linley
Piper
Regan
Summer
Sydney
Taryn
Tierney
Here are some different style names that I think are more like Melissa:
Amanda
Brielle
Cassandra
Cynthia
Jacqueline
Jenna
Jessica
Julianna
Kimberly
Kristina
Lauren
Mallory
Nicole
Sabrina
Samantha
Sarah
Victoria
Hope this helps!
I'm not much of one for surname names on girls, especially since you've got a girl already with a much girl-ier feeling name. I prefer Rylee over Reilly or any other spelling of Reilly for a girl, myself. I'd like to suggest Paisley too.. since it's fairly offbeat, girly feeling and keeps the "pay" sound at the beginning too!
