Not-so-girly girl name

My husband and I are struggling with a little girl name. We are no where close to deciding, which I'm trying not to worry about because we don't even know the sex of our baby yet. :) We seem to be leaning toward shorter names...and perhaps ones that are less feminine. Some that I've suggested that my husband has actually liked are:

Sydney
Regan
Aidan (I know, it's a boy name, but...)

Of course, I don't like these anymore. :) I really like the name Lila , but my husband shot it down immediately.

My husband really likes the name Hope, which I like. But, our last name is Spring...and I don't like the feeling of Hope Spring (does anyone see that?? my husband thinks I'm crazy).

Knowing some of the names we've thought about, do any suggestions come to mind?

It sounds like we like the same kind of names. I have a Sydney, Kinley, Whitney, Brighton, Ella and one on the way........thinking about Shay or Camryn. Good luck!

Your choices for names sound like ours..we are having a girl too.
We have chosen Camille Grace. We also liked Hazel-which sounds lovely with Spring and Audrey. I can see where you are coming from with the Hope Spring-it does sound like a retirement home or a place of peace :)

Good Luck

I kinda threw the idea around too of a not so feminine girls' name before I got pregnant. Then I met the baby's father and we decided on something a little more girly, Kirsten Rebecca.

But I've always liked the name Mackenzie or Madison. Taylor is cute too, I think a PP already said that one.

Hope Spring made me think of a lake where it was a place of worship. Could work for some, but not my cup of tea, lol. (In fact, I liked the name Hope too. But the last name would be Rainwater..... ha ha ha.)

Thanks, again, for all of your suggestions! Our list of potential names that we both like has grown a bit over the past couple of days. :)

How about Mavis? It's a bona fide female name, but doesn't sound girly at all!
