Not too "out-there" names???

So my husband and I have sort of picked the names for this baby and we don't know the gender. The only problem is that I don't want anyone to know the name till the birth in order for it to be a surprise. Now I'm just worried that we've picked names that are just too wierd of pretentious and that our friends and family are just going to look horrified at the name selection.

So your unbiased opinion....(btw we decided to do 3 names for the baby, it flowed better and was a good compromise for the names we wanted)

Boy- Lochlann Richard Patrick H.
Girl- Avonlea Desiree Scarlett H.

What do you think? Too much?

I don't consider them even a little bit weird or "out there." Best wishes!

I agree with the other poster that said the names don't sound to weird or "out there". By the same token, I think they are kind of lofty and either daunting (the male names) or frilly (the girl names). I just think it's too much. I never found 3 names to "flow" better at all, but of course that's a matter of personal preference and you have to go with what flows best to YOU.

I really like your names, and I don't think they are "too weird".
Good luck,
