I came here and got some great advice and suggestions on names. Now we have a big list and we really need more help.
Our girl list is I put the
Ivy
Phoebe
Elle
Romy
Lucy
Mae
Tess
Roma
Belle
Rose
Roxie
We really like all of the names and can't seem to discard any. Are there any you really like? The middle name will be Ellen, Kathleen, Louise, Ruth, Margaret or Julia. Also what do you think of us using my middle name Meredith as a middle name? It was after my mom's paternal aunt. Our sons do not share my husband's first or middle name.
For a boy our list is
Thatcher
Flynn
Reed
Truman
Forrest
Barrett
Everett
Fletcher
Dashiell
Has to work with the middle name David, Martin or Roy. I have a lot more questions about boy's names. Our last name is 3 syllables starts with an H and ends in an AN is this going to be a huge problem with the first name Truman? To me they don't sound bad together. We do really like it. Do you think Forrest is to much with our son Sawyer since there is a newscaster named Forrest Sawyer? We're also hearing that Dashiell is just plain weird. We got the same comments about Sawyer though from the same people. So I'm wondering even if it isn't your style is Dashiell weird? Sorry for all the questions, but I really appreciate all the help.
Our last name as I said starts with an H is 3 syllables and ends in an AN. Our sons are Pierce Kenneth and Sawyer James. Thanks again :)

Whew, you do have some long lists. ;-) But that's how our lists started, too. In fact, our girl list was much longer initially, but our problem was that DH and I didn't agree on anything, so it sounds like you're a step ahead of where we were. :-)
Anyway, here's my 2 cents. Starting with the girl list, I'd drop Romy and keep Roma. You could always use Romy as a nn. I'd also pick just Elle or Belle and drop the other since they're so similar. Well, actually, I'd probably drop both since I think they're going to be so much more common than your other names, and based on your sons' names, I don't think you want something that common. Roxie is nmsaa, and Rose doesn't have the spunk of some of the other names.
My favorites for you would be:
Ivy Louise -- I like this one the best based on your style.
Phoebe Meredith
Tess Kathleen
Lucy Ruth/Louise
As far as boys go, Dashiell is pronounced Dash-ell, right? Not dash-eel? I think it's definitely "different," but not a bad name. It's probably just a different style than most people are used to.
My favorite boy names for you would be:
Truman David
Thatcher Roy
Dashiell Martin
Good luck making a final decision!
Belle Meredith
Lucy Louise
Romy Margaret
are my favorite's of your girl names (not in any particular order)
As far as the boys names in my opinion Flynn and Reed don't sound well with the mn's that you have listed.
My favorite on your boy list is Fletcher David. The rest are jnms, sorry.
Lisa
Okay, first off, Dashiell is not weird. As a Mom of 2 boys (soon to be 3) I love that name from "The Icredibles". That is the little boy's name--Dashiell Robert Parr, Dash for short. (And yes, having 2 boys, I have seen that movie a million times and that is how i know his full name.....)
You have a long list with many great names. I think I like the sounds of Ivy Meredith the best. For a boy, maybe Truman David? It seems that you like Truman, so I tried to pick the best mn for that.
And don't worry about your list being long, it always starts out that way!
Theresa
From your girls list, I like Tess far and away the best. It is such a lovely name. I think Tess Meredith or Tess Kathleen would be great!
I like Truman, Forrest and Reed from your boys list. Truman David sounds nice to me!
Hi there, Amanda. What great lists! You of course did a fabulous job naming your little boys, so I'm not suprised. Here are my thoughts-
Ivy-Aw! There's just nothing wrong w/this, sorry. ;)
Phoebe-If we're trying to find things wrong w/names in order to shorten the list up I've got one here. Phoebe is precious, but in the interest of giving each kid their own first initial I'd scrap this one.
Elle-That's lovely...however, there are little Ellies everywhere. I know that this is Elle & not Ellie (I do love Ellie, it's just really common), but she'll most likely get Ellie at some point.
Romy-This one is nms. I think that you need a more feminine name w/two big brothers.
Lucy-Cute! There's just nothing wrong w/this either. I also love the nn Lulu.
Mae-Oh, this is beautiful. You could also call her Maisie as a nn.
Tess-I love this one, but perfer it as a nn for Tessa or Teresea. It seems like it needs a more formal name.
Roma-This is nms.
Belle-That's very pretty. I guess if we're looking for reasons to take it off though, you could say that the possible nn of 'Belly' is kind of silly.
Rose-I like this too! Especially called Rosie. That's so sweet.
Roxie -Ah, another great one.
Well, that was not easy narrowing down the list, but I did the best I could. My personal favourites of the ones that I couldn't find anything wrong w/in order are Roxie, Tess, Lucy, Ivy, Rose, Mae. My favourite w/Pierce & Saywer is probably Lucy. I don't know why, it just seems like that's what a sister to a Pierce & a Saywer should be called. Lucy Ellen, Lucy Margaret, or Lucy Kathleen all sound nice.
Thatcher-This is so cute. If I had to find a reason to take it off though, it'd be because it ends in an 'er' like Sawyer, & Pierce's name does not end in an 'er'.
Flynn-I like this one a lot. Flynn isn't very heard of, but I'm scared of 'Finn' names these days due to darn Julia Roberts calling her baby Phinneus. I love the Finn names too.
Reed-I just can't get into this one, sorry.
Truman-I like this a lot. Usually I wouldn't do it w/a ln ending in N as well, but if it's your favourite & you think it sounds fine then don't let it bother you.
Forrest-This is cool. I wouldn't worry about the Forrest & Sawyer thing. I've never even heard of him. I'd be more worried about the 'Forrest Gump' association if anything.
Barrett-This is cute, but the nn of 'Barry' is not too appealing, imo.
Everett-I like this, but it almost seems sort of too stuffy.
Fletcher-Darling, but it has that 'er' ending again.
Dashiell-No, it's not too weird! Maybe too people who only like names such as Madison & Jackson, but they'll get over it. I think it's cool, & especially w/the nn Dash.
Well, it looks like Dashiell is the only one on this list that I didn't find a problem w/! They're really all very nice though, but my top three favourites in general are Thatcher, Flynn, & Truman/Dashiell...I can't decide. Anyway, Dashiell David or Dashiell Martin are both 'dashing!'. Hope this helps, & please oh please come over to the Baby Names: Beyond the Trends messageboard.
Sawyer, Pierce, and ...
Ivy Kathleen/Margaret
Phoebe Kathleen/Louise/Ruth
Hmm I don't really like the way the other ones sound w/ your boys' names.
For boys, Reed Martin and Everett Roy.
I'm not really sure how to pronounce Dashiell. I don't think Forrest and Sawyer would be too much.
It's kinda funny you picked longer names for boys and shorter names for girls!
