old fashioned boys names please

So we decided on a girl name FINALLY.. It's Esther. NN would be Essie.
It's a name both DH and I love!
As well as it's my grandmothers name and due to illness she might not get to meet the baby.
But we are still stuck on a name for a boy. I like very unique names examples like Lennox & Gage, but DH thinks they sound too weird. I also have a weakness for what would be considered too feminine names for boys like Ashley, Laurie & Kearsley, but of course DH hates those type.
So I think out best bet is to find an old fashioned name that isn't very commonly used. I would be happy to find something an traditional and unique as our girl name Esther.
So names like David, Michael & Andrew are out.
Any suggestions out there ?
Thanks

I like classic names as well. For a boy we have picked out Nathaniel David (possible nn Nate, but not Nathan as it is too common in my area).

I also LOVE Samuel, Daniel, Issiac (sp?) and Joseph. Let us know what you decide!!

I like similar names (my kids are Amelia, Valerie, & Emmett).

How about:

Russell (nn Rusty)

Loren (a bit more masculine than Laurie but same kind of feel)

Eliot (nn Eli)

Westley (I adore this name...hero in book & movie The Princess Bride) I would have used it except for our last name is a W and if you shorten the name to nickname West and combine it with our last name it is the name of a trailer park in oour town...lol!

Walton (nn Walt)

Good luck!!!
