Olivia or Natalia?

We found out today that we may be having a girl! (70% sure, we have a very active baby :)).

We have had Isabel picked out for a long time now, but now we are trying to agree on a middle name. DH not long ago suggested Isabel Olivia, wdyt of that? I know that Isabel Olivia doesn't have the best flow but I do love Olivia and DH actually suggested a name and that makes it special. When said altogether with our Spanish last name, it sounds just beautiful and feminine.

Another name I'm liking about and I'm not too sure what DH thinks about it just yet is, Isabel Natalia (pronounced 'Nah-tahl-ee-ah' not 'Nah-tah-lee-ah').

I do prefer Olivia over Natalia but I would like to keep my options open just in case.

Which do you prefer?

Thank you :)

I prefer Olivia to Natalia. Reason #1, husband picked it out. #2 I think you might have trouble with the pronounciation with the way you want Natalia.

I agree with you that Olivia doesnt "flow" perfectly with Isabel.

I like using Isabella with NN Isabel, but that is just me. And of course if you used Isabella, Olivia (Or Natalia) would not work. And I guess that would take away from the spanish origin.

I still say use Isabel Olivia, but here are some spanish suggestions anyway:

Isabel Adalia
Isabel Solana (Solana meaning sunshine)
Isabel Clarina (Clarina meaning little brillant one)
Isabel Corina
Isabel Josefina
Isabel Savanna
Isabel Daniela
Isabel Mariana
Isabel Matia

(Spanish names are soooo beautiful!! )
Best of luck to you. Please keep us updated on what you chose.

I think Isabel Olivia is a very nice name. I do however like the spelling of Isabelle a little better. JMO though.

You've kicked around Isabel and Natalia for so long that those just seem natural choices for you but honestly, they're both pretty and work well so you really can't go wrong with either name :o)

If you're staying with the Spanish spellings and pronunciations, I think you should go with Natalia, although if you're up for a change I do like Josefina and Mariana. I don't think anybody would pronounce it Natalie-a, and its mn, how many people are really going to be saying it?

I just found out I am pregnant this morning!! Its so funny when I saw your post, I have wanted to name my baby girl Natalia for a while, and this is my first baby. I dont know if its a girl or boy, but if its a girl that is my choice for my daughters name.
