Opinion on Double MN?

The Hubby and I were talking about baby names recently. He really wants to give a girl the middle name Elizabeth... which is his mother's first name... as well as my own.

I Don't like the Idea of Naming My Daughter after me so I suggested a double middle name?
My Cousin has one and I thought It might be a good idea.

Anyway... We started playing around with the Idea and came up with these:

Jaiden Riley Elizabeth Delgadillo
Jonah Orion Alexander Delgadillo
Gavin Noah Orlando Delgadillo
Leila Mariah Jacklyn Delgadillo

Idk...

What do ya'll think of double middle names?

I have a double middle name. My full name is Jennifer Mary Ella Marshall. I like the double mns but dh doesn't. I don't like MY middle names but I like the idea of two mns

I personally think it just adds confusion. My boyfriend has two middle names (the names of both of his grandpa's) and he finds it annoying. I think using Elizabeth as a mn is lovely... or you could do something like Eliza or Liza.

Jaiden Riley Elizabeth Delgadillo- Very masculine and trendy, dislike this a lot
Jonah Orion Alexander Delgadillo- LOVE!!! Jonah is fabulous, as is Orion.
Gavin Noah Orlando Delgadillo- This is very nice
Leila Mariah Jacklyn Delgadillo- Leila is beautiful. Jaclyn or Jacqueline is pretty, but this spelling looks very strange to me, like you didn't know how to properly spell the name

My faves: Leila Elizabeth, Leila Jaclyn, Jonah Orion, Gavin Orlando.

My husband and his brother both have doubles (as do I, now...kept my maiden name in the second mn position) and both my son and my husband's niece have doubles, so it apparently hasn't fussed the guys enough to not do it again. (And I like it...we have a common mn, so the more ways of keeping from getting other people's credit card bills, the happier I am!)

Jaiden doesn't do much for me, but I really like Leila Mariah Jacklyn and both of the boys' combos. And multiple mns (or no mns) seem to crop up a lot more in Europe than they do here...it's just a little uncommon here, which can bother some people, but it's really not a big pain.

I am all for it if it solves a problem or some kind, or even if the parents just love the names and want to use all of them. In my case, the baby will probably have two middle names if it's a girl: first my mom's first name, and then a variant of my mother-in-law's first name. Why? Because it prevents hurt feelings on my husband's side of the family, and I see no reason to have hurt feelings when I can so easily avoid them. It won't confuse the child - children are made of tougher stuff than that. If there's no room for two middles on the birth certificate, as some have warned me, that's no big deal to me - she'll just have an "unofficial" second middle name.

I don't know if it varies from state to state, but there is room for as many names as you desire on Michigan's birth certificate forms.

thank you all so much for your opinions. I'm still not sure what to do. I need to find out if there is a limited space for a name on a birth certificate =]

Thanks ladies

My husband and daughter both have double MN.

It's not an issue for us, but when we do anything official they do typically leave the second mn out if they just need middle initials. Such as doctors and school forms...

I love the idea of 2 mns but only when it either honors family or has some other very special significant meaning.
