Opinions on 2 boys names

I am a month away from giving birth, and asked opinions before, but am having a pregnancy moment. What are some opinions (like or not, odd sounding or not, any bad thoughts) on the following names:
Leo Allen
Nathan (Nate) Allen
We live in the midwest, prefer conservative but unique names, and older sister is named Elise (Ellie).
Thanks for the opinions! I do appreciate the input, we're waiting to share with family after baby is born.

Both are nice strong names. I prefer Leo Allen only because Nathan Allen sounds so similar to the furniture store, Ethan Allen.
Good Luck!
I love both Leo and Nathan will Elise, but Leo is really just stunning. I LOVE it. It is one of my favourite names, so I definitely love it for you and it is perfect with Elise.

I prefer Leo Allen. Although I do like the name Nathan (nn Nate), when I say Nathan Allen in my head al I can think of is Ethan Allen.
HTH!

I'm in the minority, but I like Nathan/Nathaniel. Great nn of Nate too. Leo doesn't jive as well with Elise IMO. I know 3 people with pets named Leo so that might be part of my reasoning.

Leo Allen
*** I think this fits well with what you want. Conservative/familiar, but still unique. Not over-used, but still fits with current trends (Jack, Ben, Max and Sam type names). My only concern would be the similar sounds in Leo and Allen and Leo and Ellie. I'd perfer a longer form personally, both for the flow with the mn Allen and so he has some options (not just as an adult, but even if Leo and Elise/Ellie gets confusing and you or he wants a longer form to use in certain situations, KWIM?). But that's just me. ;)
Nathan (Nate) Allen
*** "Ethan" Allen. I don't know if that would be everyone's first thought, and I'm sure many would think it sounds great *because* it's familiar (even if they're not quite sure why). In fact, I'd think this would probably be a VERY common mn with Nathan for that very reason ... again, even if those parents don't realize it. Nathan's also not unique at all, FWIW. Quite the opposite, actually (top 20 on its own, not counting Nathaniel and the like, and similar enough to top ten Ethan for it to seem even more popular than it is).
