We finally have the names (we think).
If we are having a girl, her name will be Kameryn Alexis Fisher.
If we are having a boy, his name will be Christopher Michael Fisher.
-So, what do you think? We find out Thursday if we're having a boy or a girl, so I'll have a name to call this lil' one!
Thanks, -Scotti & Derek, due 06.02.06-

The boy's name and Alexis as a mn are great though.
They are both really nice names! I like that you spell the girl name with a K!

Thanks for all the responses... Both choices were names we discussed back in 8th grade (yes, of middle school) that we liked and I wrote down then... I happened to find the list the other day, and we chose the #1 name from each list...
About Kameryn - we chose that spelling because it looks a lot more feminine to us. All of our girls' name choices start with "K" and have a "y" in them. I have thought long and hard about how she'll have to learn to spell it and I'll *never* be able to find it on the cutesy tourist stuff on vacations, but I think it's worth it to us to give her more feminine form of the name (Plus, we just had a Cameron born in the family - a boy).
Thanks, again!
The boys name is great, but I have some issues with Kameryn. I have always thought Cameron as a boys name. Its kind of a peeve of mine when boys names are taken over by the girls, especially since DH and I are contemplating using Cameron for our boy #3!!! But--I know this is against what everyone else is posting--if you are going to stick with Kameryn, I would say stick with the k spelling. That makes it look like a girls name, where as if you were to use Cameron spelling, I think most people would assume its a boy.

You're not alone, Theresa! The whole boys-names-on-girls trend drives me nuts (and I only have girls ... all with girl names lol). The three names we liked best if this had turned out to be a boy, rather than girl #3, were Logan, Rowan and Nathan. Wouldn't you know it, I've seen Logan and Rowan posted as "girls" names a million times since then! Argh! Looks like Nathan's the only safe choice (and who knows ... there'll probably be a bunch of Nathan Roses next year now that I've mentioned it rofl).
Anyway, just had to post and say you're not the only one bugged by this! :)
Per the actual post, I do like the boy name. Obviously, Cameron (any spelling) for a girl is nmsaa.

I love the name Christopher. I think the combination Christopher Michael is a great combo.
However, and it's a big HOWEVER, Christopher Fisher (say it many many times without the Michael in there, because that's what he'll hear mostly) sounds awful together
those F sounds are much too close together fer-fish back-to-back - and both Christopher and Fisher end in er.
what about going with Christian Michael Fisher
you eliminate the F and the er problem and he'll probably end up being called Chris most of the time either way.
I'm not a Kameryn fan (like it better for a girl spelled Camryn though), but the combo Kameryn Alexis Fisher sounds pretty good together as far as sound and flow are concerned.
good luck
