Hi everyone,
My sister is having her first in April and has been thinking of names. She won't know the gender until he/she is born. Here are some of her ideas and some of mine in no particular order. TIA.
Girls:
Olivia
Anneliese
Helen
Abigail
Jillian
Sara
Boys:
Julian
Noah
Frederick
Evan
Ian
Bryce

I really like:
Anneliese- it is lovely, and has cute nn possibilities. A classy choice, and not too common (which is a big plus in my book).
Helen- you just can't go wrong here. It is classic and feminine without being frilly. I think I prefer Helene and Helena, but Helen is very nice too.
Jillian- like Helen, it is feminine without being frilly and I like that. Also has a kind of spunky feel for me, perhaps b/c of Jillian's I've known IRL.
Julian- it's a familiar but uncommon choice, which is a great combo to have! It is sometimes seen as somewhat feminine, but I don't think so.
Frederick- what a strong name! I know Fred might not be well-received these days, but it doesn't bother me. I knew a Frederick in high school who always went by Erick.
Ian- I like it quite a bit! Simple and handsome.
What I don't like:
Olivia, Abigail, and Sara- too popular and overdone for me. I also prefer Sarah.
Noah, Even- ditto to above girl names. I see them everywhere!
Bryce- I have mixed feelings on. I don't mind it, and I especially like the Brice spelling for some reason. However, there's something I don't love about it, but I just can't put my finger on what it is!
I think your sister has a pretty solid list to work with! Keep us updated!
Thanks belle_petite for the siggy!
Here are my thoughts:
Girls:
Olivia-I do love Olivia, but it's super popular if that's a concern.
I'm in agreement with the other comments...
for girls I like Olivia, Anneliese and Sara.

Girls:
Olivia - it's ok, just nms
Anneliese -- I tend to not like longer names with many syllables, so nms
Helen - beautiful, love it
Abigail - like it, but really trendy right now
Jillian - very nice
Sara - nice, classic
Boys:
Julian - love it
