I am really struggling with this Boy Name Decision. I have 7 days left before my scheduled c-section. My DH is so calm about it. He says lets bring a list to the hospital. That's fine, but I would like to have only a couple names rather than 10. Either way, I would love to get everyones opinion one last time.
Girls names are much easier in our opinion. We agreed on Keagen when I was only 7 weeks along. We have a daughter now, her name is Kylie Rose. I feel the names we have on this list will go well with her name. She says that Lucas James is her favorite. What do you think?
1. Lucas James (nn: Luke / LJ)
2. Lincoln / Linkon (nn: Link) Love the nn! Which spelling is better? I like
unordinary spelling.
3. Tysen Anthony (nn: Ty) First name I came up with. Tysen was my maiden name, but
spelled differently, which represents me and my dad.
Anthony represents my step-father, and our last name
represents my DH and his dad. But DH isn't fond of this
name at all.
4. Gage Michael - This is the first name that we both agreed upon. But not my favorite.
Thank you so much.

My thoughts:
Lucas James -- LOVE it.
Lincoln / Linkon -- Definitely go with the traditional spelling. It will grow better into adulthood and then you avoid pronunciation mistakes. Love Lincoln. For nicknames, my personal preference is to let them develop on their own and no pre-select them before you meet the child - but Link is cute (and totally works with Lincoln spelling). :)
Tysen Anthony -- Love the family connection and I like the name. I'd spell it Tyson, though.
Gage Michael - I like it, but I think your other choices are stronger.
AJ, enjoying life with C.
1. Lucas James -- I like Lucas James very much.
2. Lincoln / Linkon -- I like Lincoln, but I would not consider Linkon for a child's name. It's not that I hate all non-traditional spellings; but Linkon doesn't work for me, at all.
3. Tysen Anthony -- Tyson is OK, and the family connections are nice. Tysen has that made-up look; I don't care for it, personally.
4. Gage Michael - I have never been able to warm up to the name Gage. I don't really know why.
First of all I don't think you have too many names to take to the hospital with you - a lot of people take 3-5 - so I would not stress out too much about eliminating a couple. I could see you eliminating one now and then it ending up being the name because it just seems to be the perfect fit when you actually see him!
Here are my thoughts though on the names:
Lucas James - really cute
Lincoln - i like it, but only spelled this way
Tysen Anthony - cute and i like the family connections - and if it is spelled the same as your maiden name then keep it spelled that way - otherwise i would conisder the traditional spelling
Gage Michael - i really don't like this name, but I do have a reason. my next door neighbor has a little boy named Gage and even a 3 years old he was getting frustrated about correcting people that his name is not Gabe (EVERYONE called him Gabe upon meeting him)
Good Luck
Jaime
LOVe Lincoln, but actually prefer the traditional spelling. I also really like Gage (could be spelled Gaige, also) - what about Lincoln Gage?
GL and Congrats!
I feel your pain/anxiety...we don't have much of a list at all, but have three more weeks than you to find some more names, hopefully anyhow.
I really like Lucas James nn Luke, the best. IMO, it goes with Kylie Rose the best, but I do honestly like your other names too. Whatever you choose will be great! Good Luck to you!

You have a really good list and I don't think you can really go wrong with any of them.
I love Tysen Anthony, but it doesn't sound like you are going to be able sway your DH. I love Lincoln too. I'd stay with the regular spelling. Only because, its a unique name anyway, so I wouldn't want to make too different. Either way, though its a great name.
I love Keagan for a girl. It goes really well with Kylie. What mn have you chosen??
